The setup through the app was straightforward, and installation was simple with clear instructions. Day-to-day use is smooth and convenient. Fingerprint recognition is fast and accurate most of the time. The only issue I’ve noticed is when my hands are slightly moist, like after getting out of the shower. In those cases, the fingerprint sensor doesn’t register my finger, so I have to use the app to unlock the door. Thankfully, the app works reliably and connects quickly, so it’s just a minor inconvenience. Overall, it’s a solid and user-friendly lock that adds both security and convenience to my home. I bought this to replace the old style door knob on my in-laws apartment. They were constantly leaving the key inside or couldn’t find it. This door lock changed our life. We have been using it for a couple of months now and it is working great. It unlocks within a second or two, and it recognizes my thumb most of the time without any issues. It is also great having the fingerprint option, but there’s also a backup key, passcode, and app access. It took my husband less than 15 minutes to install it. The instructions were clear, and the template helped. If you’re looking for an affordable smart door lock with fingerprint access, this is a great option.

UPDATED Review Having some semblance of peace of mind has been EVERYTHING So, getting this item was an adventure - given that I learned only afterwards it requires that my door have a bore hole for it to fit. That led me to do research on what items I would need (a power drill AND a hole saw kit) to get back to zero. And that is why, I gave this a 4 instead of a 5. Adding pictures of the actual door knob would've been quite helpful in making my decision. That said, once set up it does take some time to get used to. The knob looks great, but it's significantly larger than the one I replace it with. So it took a few days getting used to that. I'm relieved that they had an instructional video for getting everything up & running. That made life easier for me as I'm a visual learner. Once setup, it has worked as advertised. There is a one year warranty along with an option to extend that to 3 more years. For me that was very VERY important after reading so many reviews where others have purchased a door knob only to realize that the battery has died and the warranty is expired. There are some things that I'd wish could be better, but compared to where I was prior to having a door knob like this...I can NOT express enough how valuable it is for regaining some peace of mind compared to NOT having it! ------------------------------------------------------ PRIOR REVIEW BELOW --------------------------------------------- Received the product in pristine condition. I was set to have it replace my door knob; however, upon closer examination my door does NOT have the ability to accommodate the door unless I drill a hole into it. Was hoping to avoid doing that. Wish that the illustrations could've shown every angle of the door knob so I would have avoided needing to buy a hole saw kit AND a power drill. That said, I've already have a 3 yr warranty purchased along side with this. And I trust that this company is a quality company, so I'm keeping this until I can drill a hole that can fit my door. Will update later once that is realized.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this Fingerprint Door Lock, Smart Door Knob for my son’s room. It was easy to install, came with keys in case i could not get in, works well. The quality is as if i bought it at Home Depot.
