I ordered this for my ‘74 airstream argosy and regret that decision. The price was so good at $85 that I figured it wouldn’t be amazing but it would be good enough. I was wrong. The seams are poorly sewn, there’s no real reinforcement on the edges, and it tears at the slightest abrasion. All the photos are from immediately after getting it installed and you can see how damaged it is even though we did our best to treat it gently. I actually had to order awning repair tape to even get it installed because 2/3 of the way into the track, the edge frayed and got stuck. I pulled it out and reinforced the entire edge with a nice slick awning repair tape. It then slid in without issue. It should have come from the factory with some sort of edge protection considering how fragile the awning material is. I have never truly regretted a purchase like I regret this one. It was the only awning in my budget but I’d have been better off without an awning at all. If you only need it for show it might be okay but it’s basically a poor tarp that only looks okay from a distance. As soon as I can afford to I will be replacing this awning. Oh—a note on sizing. I read the reviews that said it came too big and I hoped that was true because my awning was 18’, not 17’ and it was-which means it fit my awning rail perfectly being 4ish inches short on either end (so not interfering with the awning arms). Also, there were no instructions for installing but luckily I’d already researched my awning setup and had the original instructions downloaded. I have no idea what the scraper or pull cord are for because you can’t fit the scraper in the rail/channel and the pull cord can only be used for removing the old awning because there’s no way to put it in and pull the new awning in. So useless accessories in my experience. (Old awning slid right out without issue). TLDR; get a different awning this one is a headache. ... show more

This replacement fabric is not bad for the cost. Replacement was rather easy (first time doing one here) The pro's 1. Easy to install 2. Economically priced 3. Has tubing sewn in for valence as well The con's 1. The shading was almost non existent (was supposed to be white to tan) there may be a slight shade difference but it just looks like a dirty white. 2. Stitching could be better, seems a little loose 3. Rear edge is not cut straight, it's not hateful but if you look close it's noticeable. (Once it's out in the sun that may shrink to where it should be) I highly doubt anyone walking past will notice it but I did during installation. 4. Dimensions said it was 14' long and it's only about 13'8" long. All in all for the cost it's not a bad awning fabric. I figure if I get 2 years out of it I got my money out of it. Make sure you check the shading/color as soon as you get it. I didn't unfold mine till I was ready to install it. ... show more

Make sure you measure it when it arrives. I went to install 3 days before a week long trip only to find it was 12” to long. I ordered an 18’ but received a 19’ fabric. I didn’t have time to return it so I cut it to fit, glued and burnt the ends. To my suprise the material on the cut side held up well with no issues. The other end I didn’t cut has a 1 inch tear in the material against the RV. The threads appear to be separating and not good quality. ... show more
