Why did you pick this product vs others?: We purchased another variation which was not good quality and although it “folded down” we had to basically disassemble it to do it. This one folds down with a single lift of a lever and this one has actual hinges rather than elastic bands inside tubes like the other one we returned. It is very well made and easy to assemble. It is also very easy to reverse to the right or left side of the bed. Many are not able to do that without a degree in engineering. This one was great. Excellent quality. Excellent value. Everything we wanted. I attached a picture of our assembly on the left side of the bed because I could not find any images before we bought it. It was easy for one person to do.

Easy assemble.... not hard to set up on my dad's bed headboard did not want it but likes it in the end since it has a pouch for his tv remote and other things plus its peace of mind for me to hopefully keeping him from falling out of bed again

My husband has cancer and was having a hard time getting out of bed. This bed rail is very sturdy and it wasn't too hard to assemble I should probably mention that I am 74 and I'm not in the best of health either. This bed rail was a life saver, he was able to get in and out of bed a lot easier! The directions were not easy to understand but I managed to figure them out eventually.

I bought this for a friend. I had to very carefully saw off 2 inches of height because she doesn’t have a bedframe under her box spring, it was 2 inches too tall. She didn’t request it, but I didn’t like how the very top rail was so close to the second to the bottom rail so I raised that 2 inches. I was super happy I didn’t have to do any welding! It seems a little flimsy, but I guess it’s good enough. Hopefully it’ll work well, maybe you can’t expect very much more for the price. Time will tell if it keeps her from falling out of bed again.

This was a pain in the rump to assemble and install. The rail is sturdy enough to prevent an adult from rolling out of bed but when that rail is folded down, the exposed hinges are very painful and will leave bruises on thighs. UPDATED REVIEW 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: This bed rail is designed to fit all mattress thicknesses BUT it did not fit my mattress thickness. When folded down, the device’s hinges sit right below the top of the mattress. Sitting at the edge of the mattress compresses it, and those hinges grind into your legs. Even swinging your legs over to sit up left nasty and painful bruises on my thighs. Assembly: The hardware falls apart regardless of how tightly they are closed. I was constantly picking up hardware from the floor. Injury: A few nights ago, the hinge for the guardrail, closest to my pillow, came completely undone while I was asleep with my back towards it. I turned towards the noise and fell out of bed. Now that rail is savagely crammed into the parts below so it can support my body while waiting for a different rail system to arrive. Closing Opinion: DO NOT BUY THIS! BEWARE, SHODDY PRODUCT!
