We had borrowed another brand exercise bike prior to my wife’s total-knee surgery. A month after surgery we found that her rehab was ahead of normal, partly due to using the bike and bought the Harison B-12. Reviews showed some customers having difficulty with assembly. I’m 80 and had no problem assembling in about 1 1/2 hrs. Use real tools, those supplied might work in a pinch but not well. Bike is just great, smooth and quiet, electronics easy to understand and use. Seat is harder and lower than expected. Coco at Harison customer service made registration, etc. very comfortable. ‘Would recommend this brand/model to others.

It's a good quality bike and will get lots of use. Assembly itself wasn't bad... although if you're not mechanically inclined you could struggle a bit, the hardware comes in a bag and although the instructions assign numbers to the individual size bolts ect. there is no labeling on the hardware itself (you gotta figure it out for yourself). Also wasn't thrilled that it was missing 2 parts. I've no doubt if I called the manufacturer they'd be happy to send them out, but since they weren't critical (one cover and an easily replaced part for the seat adjustment) I'm not going to bother them. Lady thing is the heart rate monitor is either morbidly inaccurate or I'm doing something horribly wrong..... or I REALLY need to see a cardiologist..... pretty sure my heart rate doesn't jump to 240 after a couple pedals. End of the day good bang for the buck.

Overall, great product/exercise bicycle, great value for the price/delivery! One small issue for me: When the seat is adjusted for the length of my legs, my arms cannot reach the handles for the arm workouts. It would be helpful, in the future, to have an adjustment to the handlebars, which could then adjust, adapt and bring the handles closer to the person on the exercise bicycle. On this particular model, there is no handlebar adjustment in distance between the exerciser and the handlebars, like there is with the seat adjustment, so, in my case, I must exercise my arms separately. Please note: There is an adjustment regarding the handlebar tension when doing the arm workouts. Overall, the bike provides wonderful data, exercise and it's very comfortable to ride. The wheels and handles also provide easy movement when setting the bike in position for riding and later, for storing, out of the way. For the money, very sturdy and well built. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow and took me about a couple of hours from receiving it, to unpacking and full assembly! I didn't require assistance from outside sources!!! (Female/over 50/110#) I would buy another tomorrow, if it became necessary!

Took a while to assemble, but I'm 80. Directions are fantastic, all hardware required is included (neatly). I spent a full day just un-boxing all the stuff and cleaning up. The included tools were all used. The fit and finish of all components is excellent. I do wish the seat adjuster could be easier to reach, or on both sides. In operation, no problems at all----just sit on the comfy seat, and pedal away. Forget negative reviews, this bike is well worth the price.

We bought this to have something similar to the equipment my wife has been using in pulmonary rehab. It's a little disapointing that we can't tighten the tension an the arm exercise part enough to suit a 76yo woman that's still weak from a couple exteneded hospital stays. The bike part is fine. Be prepared to spend a few hours unpacking and assembling this beast. I think it took about an hour just to unpack, and then another 4 hours over two sessions to assemble. The pictures are small and lacking contrast so in some steps it takes some time to figure out which way a piece should be oriented. The biggest problem was a mis-match between the holes in the bar the seat attaches to and the bolt holes in the frame. The holes in the frame are just a little two close together. I was able to get 3 of the 4 bolts in by starting two first, one at the top and one diagonally from it at the bottom, and then getting a third one started at the top. There's no possible way to get the 4th one in, so we're going with just the three. Asside from that it seems to be sturdy. I'm frustrated though that things like this are only designed in the USA and then manufactured in the PRC. I sincerely hope manufacturing continues leaving China. I also wish Amazon would give us a way to search for products and include/exclude specific countries of origin.

This is a perfect bike for Seniors - It is not hard to assemble but takes a lot of time. It is solid steel construction so it is heavy. The operation is smooth and very quiet. I bought it for the seats and they did not disappoint. They are very comfortable and the low, easy entry is a big plus. The Display is basic but does the job. Pulse rate is similar to my i-phone. Don't know about Calories. I finally figured out how to reset the numbers. Hold down both the Reset Button and the Mode Button until you get zeroes. The Reset button doesn't do it alone despite what the instructions say. The seat adjustment is hard to do. It would be better if the seat adjustment had holes up & down the track for quick and easy changes. The arm exerciser can be hard to reach for some. It would be nice if it was adjustable. Overall, we are very happy with the purchase.

Although this bike is well made, the design of the seat makes it impossible to ride. The back is absolutely straight up, no angle at all. The very meaning of recumbent is recline. There is no recline. You feel like your back is flat against the wall and you are trying to pedal. It’s also very low to the ground and difficult to get on and off and the tension didn’t work. If you don’t mind pedaling with your back absolutely straight, are under 5 foot tall so the seat is not too low for you and you don’t want any tension, this bike is for you.
