Ordered this in 2023, and I'm reviewing two years later because I still love it. It's attractive and very well built. Have had no issue with it, still works and looks like new. The color is so retro, but refreshing. My kitchen is very small and this fits nicely and discreetly, but holds a good amount. Two person household and I take the trash out once weekly amd its rarely full. Never had an issue with smells escaping either, if the lid is closed, its fine. When I first set my eyes on this trash can I though it was quite attractive for my new place and it does appeared to be good looking and tidy for my space but only a very short time then I realized how bad it was constructed, after regularly step on the can to dispose the trash it seems the lid started to breaking and came apart, this is not a well made item for your household now beautiful can now trash and I do not recommend to buy it. ... show more

    • A trash can that doesn’t feel trashy!

I’ve had this for a few weeks so far. It’s so silly that I am writing a review for a trash can, but I gotta give it credit for the idea that a trashcan doesn’t have to be an eyesore and make the room itself look trashier because it is a room that will eventually have trash that needs to go. This takes up space in the room to do an important job without looking or feeling like a weird trade-off for needing it. Is that not the epitome of good design in everyday things? It works well, looks intentional and expressive, and brings a bit of personality to something most people would not care to think about (which ironically is also an expressive decision). The lid has been working well as intended, no noise, though I kind of also wish there was something that prevented the lid from opening so fast that it can hit the wall or bend back beyond the depth and width of the space it takes because I measured for the dimensions of the trash can closed, not considering how much space it needs behind it to open it. I did have room for the lid to open back even when stepping on the pedal quickly, but if I had to think of any “next level” improvement, I’d suggest something around that part of using it. I’d also suggest some way to better hide the bag lining, though using the metal rod to hold half of the bag liner has been working for me so far. I have no idea if this is how it is meant to be lined, it’s my first time using a more decorative trash can like this! ... show more

I was kind of iffy about buying this because they’re so expensive. It turned out to be the best trashcan I’ve ever bought. They’re sturdy and they hold a lot and the lid can flop down or I can stand straight.
