Ordered this in 2023, and I'm reviewing two years later because I still love it. It's attractive and very well built. Have had no issue with it, still works and looks like new. The color is so retro, but refreshing. My kitchen is very small and this fits nicely and discreetly, but holds a good amount. Two person household and I take the trash out once weekly amd its rarely full. Never had an issue with smells escaping either, if the lid is closed, its fine. Trash can is the perfect size and shape for the location in my open floor plan kitchen/dining room space. However, it does not stay in place. I constantly have to pull it forward, away from the wall. Otherwise the lid hits the wall every time it’s opened. Would have preferred a more flush design so that I could keep it closer to the wall and open without hitting the wall. But in lieu of the design; I would prefer that it at least stayed in place away from the wall. I will try putting some type of rubber pads on the bottom in hopes of it staying in place. I also do not care for the metal handle on the can insert as it interferes with placing the trash bag in the liner. I place the bag over the handle and do not have any difficulty removing the bag. However if the bag isn’t stretched over the handle just so, then the lid doesn’t completely close. If it didn’t have these design flaws, it would be a 4 STAR review easily. Update 07/21/26 to one star. Broke twice. The first time the pedal broke and couldn’t open and close lid. Had to keep lid open to access. Can was covered under warranty and seller replaced-which was impressive and appreciated. That was about 5-6 months ago and now the damper on the soft close lid fell off and now the lid closes VERY hard. No longer under warranty. The seller is very responsive, however the best they could offer is 25% off order from their website. I’ve declined and am ordering a trash can from Amazon website from a different seller. I’m absolutely smitten with my sunshiney garbage can—it’s the happiest thing in my kitchen! I’m not quite sure why I’m so excited about a trash can, but I am. The yellow is vibrant yet matte, adding such a cheerful touch. I’m not sure why or what makes the yellow more expensive than the other colors; it doesn’t do anything special, like taking out its own bag when it’s full. Hmm, maybe it’s just the color that seems to be in demand… it’s a really nice can, no matter the color. I’m planning to get a smaller one in a different color for recycling cans, but I don’t need the double bin. Please, could you lower the price? I’ve deducted one star for the price… Oh, and I haven’t had any issues using store-bought bags in mine. I kept the bags they sent for holidays and stuff… ... show more
