This is indeed a terrific item! The first thing that I note upon opening, is that it comes with a very practical cinch sack, into which the tarp comfortably fits. The logo appears on both the cinch sack as well as the tarp. It has 6 grommets, all of which are triple reinforced. The tarp is made of a durable, waterproof material. Since Triwonder makes their backpack rain covers out of the same material, we have truly put this material to the test less than a month ago on our last expedition. It works without any issue in repelling rain. We took pictures using this as a tent footprint. It will most certainly do the trick (be sure to buy the appropriate size). We also used it as a sunshade and a makeshift shelter. My sons and I have no complaints whatsoever. It isn’t practical to use our (size large) tarp as a hammock rainfly (at least for our hammock needs - we use Bearbutt hammock), but it would work for many application. In an emergency, a person could use this as an A-frame ground shelter. It would work to protect from wind and rain. Though I have my tarp pictured with 550 cable, it does not come with any such hardware, but the triple-reinforced grommets are a definite plus! Great little tarp. I carry it with me every time I go out to the woods. Good for sitting you and your stuff on. Also works well as a wrap around for sudden bouts of rain.
