  • This pic shows the minimum drip of oil from hanging the basket over the front edge. This pic shows the minimum drip of oil from hanging the basket over the front edge.
Size: 4.5 Liters / 19 Cups Oil Capacity Color: Three Frying Baskets, Stainless Steel
This fryer is everything that I expected and more! We followed the instructions in the owners manuel as instructed, filling the oil to the max line inside the oil pot. We used vegetable oil. We fried 12 whole chicken wings and about a pint of chicken gizzards. Used the large basket, set the temperature to 375, put the basket into the oil when the ready light came on and then dropped my wings into the hot oil. Used the stay on setting on the timer, and just timed them with my oven timer. The oil drips minimally down the front of the fryer when you set your basket to drain. On the inside of the lid, condensation and oil spatter accumulates so between batches I just wiped the lid with a paper towel to dry it before placing it back onto the cooker. Just to keep water out of the oil to prevent excessive splatter. I researched so many deep fryers, all prices, sizes and brands and this is the one that I chose. I like the three baskets also. The cord is really short, but we had an outlet to accommodate it and didn't have any problem with the magnetic end coming loose from the fryer. I have tried to include everything that may influence your decision on buying this fryer, it really is nice and works great! You can also take everything apart to clean, which is also nice and pretty easy. I would definitely purchase it again! ... show more

  • The perfect deep fryer
Size: 4.5 Liters / 19 Cups Oil Capacity Color: Three Frying Baskets, Stainless Steel
This is exactly the deep fryer I was looking for and I couldn't be happier. It is definitely sturdy, but that's ok as I was looking for something that I felt wouldn't accidentally slip off the counter or tip over (as I felt with Fry Daddy). After reading the past reviews, I'll address some issues I saw: 1. "Heats slowly." Not that I saw. I filled the tub with a large bottle of Canola oil to the line and it took approximately 10 minutes to get to 350 degrees. That was just fine with me as it gave me time to get my things in order while I waited, and the timer helped also. One thing, though, the unit light won't turn 'on' until you turn the timer, so don't think the unit is broken! 2. "Top isn't attached to fryer." Well, yes, you have to take the top off and set it down, but with the size of this applicance you really couldn't have a 'flip-style' top as it it too heavy to hang off the side. This appliance is approximately 18" square - it is definitely a mini professional-style deep fryer. 3. "Power cord too short." This is true (it's about 18") and it could definitely be a little longer without sacrificing safety. I got it a couple of days ago and have already used it twice. The three baskets allow for a variety of cooking and they wash up cleanly and easily. The actual frying bin can be removed out of the unit so it cleans easilty, too, and while you can't wash the heating element, a warm wet cloth does the trick. The fryer left little to no grease on the side and the lid kept all of the frying smells contained. All-in-all, I'm very happy with it, as I have been with all my Hamilton Beach applicances. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a deep fryer that is economical yet gives professional results! ... show more

  • The Fryer That’s Almost Perfect—If Only It Couldn’t Blow Over in a Breeze! 🍟🔥
Size: 4.5 Liters / 19 Cups Oil Capacity Color: Three Frying Baskets, Stainless Steel
The Hamilton Beach Triple Basket Deep Fryer is a kitchen game-changer. This beast holds 4.7 quarts of oil and fries like a champ, making it the ultimate machine for satisfying those deep-fried cravings. It’s got three baskets, which means you can cook a full feast in one go—perfect for when you want to turn your kitchen into a miniature carnival. The 1800 watts of power means your fries will cook faster than you can say "extra crispy!" And the lid with the view window? Genius. It’s like having a little glass portal to the land of golden deliciousness. You’ll spend half your time peering through it, marveling at how perfect your food looks. But here’s the catch—the casing of this fryer is so flimsy it feels like it might fold up like a cheap lawn chair if you look at it the wrong way. I’ve had to place it strategically on the counter to avoid it wobbling off when I’m frying up a storm. If you’ve ever seen a toy in the middle of a hurricane, you get the idea. So, why four stars instead of five? The flimsy casing is a bit of a letdown. It’s like having a sports car with a cup holder made of paper. But when it’s working, this fryer is a dream come true. Just handle it with care and maybe don’t use it during an earthquake, and you’ll be golden! ... show more

  • Love the 3 basket deep fryer.
Size: 4.5 Liters / 19 Cups Oil Capacity Color: Three Frying Baskets, Stainless Steel
This was a Christmas gift to myself, I was so tired of using pots of oil on my stove to deep fry food. I've been needing and wanting a new deep fryer and when I saw this 3 basket fryer for that price, I could not pass it up, I have paid the same price for a smaller 1 basket at a local store in the past! I've already used it 3 times and am in love with it. I use peanut Oil so I can strain it through paper towels and use it over, instead of having to throw used oil out after using it once or twice. I love the timer, no more setting a timer on the microwave or watching the clock, when it dings my food is done cooking! I don't really like the cord (I know it's for safety) but it is so short, I have to keep it close to the plug outlet, on my counter or table, which means it makes it harder for me to see the numbers on the knob, as I'm only 5'4 and my kitchen is not lit very bright, I always have to have my 16 year old son who is 6'1 come in with a flash light to put the knob where I need it to be. Also with other fryers in the past the magnets have stopped working and would no longer attach to the fryer, which hinders the product useless and I've had to throw them out. I sure hope this doesn't happen with this product!. I love I can cook more than one thing at the same time, My son and I love Fish and Fries/onion rings or even hush puppies. and now I can get both items cooked together at the same time so no more one being cold by the time the other gets done, and no more grabbing the Cast Iron Skillet, turning on the oven, putting what fried food is done in the pan into the oven to stay hot while everything else cooks. The baskets are a breeze to wash, I wash everything by hand, I don't own a dish washer, I just stick them down in a sink full of hot soapy water, then using the handle I swish them around a bit, then use a soft bristle scrubber to get any crumbs off that didn't want to come off, and use the sink sprayer to rinse them off, Air dry and put away. it is a lot bigger than I thought it would be , so storing it I had to move some stuff around on my shelf but It now has it's own place on the shelf and the baskets are right beside the fryer. I made fried chicken in it the other day, Thighs and legs, I do not know if it's the batter combination I used or what, but I was very disappointed that I had the exact same problems with this deep fryer as I do Frying them in an iron skillet cook for the time stated, the outside is practically burnt while the inside is raw Supposed to take like 14 minutes (or so) to Fry Chicken, It takes me over an hour and I'm still dealing with parts of the chicken being raw while the outside is close to being burnt or is burnt. But according to the family, it only looked horrible, they ate it and actually ate all that I cooked up ( I do not eat chicken especially fried) Makes fries great! My boyfriend likes his fries Crunchy and I always have a hard time getting them that way when I was frying in a pot on the stove, I don't like mine very crunchy, but I made them his way first, on the longer time given, and they turned out to his liking :) so that's a good thing :D I've had this since a few days before Christmas, and I've used it about 5 times, and Yesterday was the first time since using it I took it all apart and washed it after using it, and it was a breeze , the only part that took forever was cleaning/straining my oil, I use Peanut Oil and I use a Paper towel in a colander put inside a big bowl I need to find a new way to get this accomplished as my way is very time consuming and I spend a lot of time at the sink (I put the bowls in the sink so if I make a mess it's contained there). waiting on the oil to drain/sift through the paper towel lined colander into the bowl. But it's worth it! Means I don't have to always buy a new jug of oil when I need to refill my fryer I don't know if this part is a defect or if it is supposed to do it, I've read the manual front to back several times, but all other fryers I've owned with a power light, the power light would come on as soon as you turned the heat knob, However this one the power light only comes on once you turn the TIMER knob! That does make it a little confusing because you're not sure if it's on or not, but I usually always turn the timer on to the 15 minute mark that the manual says it takes to heat up any way. But it would be nice if the power light came on when you turned the Heat Temp. Knob. So to conclude I really don't have much bad to say about this fryer the only cons are: The Cord is way too short and it's magnetic (Again I know this is a safety feature but not everyone has little kids to worry about knocking a hot fryer off a counter). And that the power light does not turn on as soon as you turn the heat temperature knob. Everything else about this fryer is a Pro . And I will be recommending this one to my family and friends who are looking for a fryer. The price is great as well. ... show more

  • Hamilton Beach Electric Deep Fryer Quits Working Needs Improvement
Size: 4.5 Liters / 19 Cups Oil Capacity Color: Three Frying Baskets, Stainless Steel
⭐ Concise Takeaway Across multiple verified purchases, the magnetic power cord, unreliable heating, and early product failure are the dominant, repeated complaints. Most users could only use the fryer a handful of times—some only once—before it stopped working entirely. 🔧 Major Issues Reported 1. Magnetic Power Cord Failure (Most Common & Most Serious) • Cord disconnects with the slightest movement • Won’t stay attached without taping it in place • Causes the fryer to shut off mid‑use • Trips the internal reset breaker • Some units won’t power on at all unless the cord is held in a very specific position • Multiple reviewers describe the design as unsafe or “cheap” This is the single biggest deal‑breaker across nearly every review. 🔥 2. Heating Problems • Oil takes extremely long to heat (one user: nearly 2 hours) • Some units heat once, then never heat again • Others shut off during the first use and never restart • Reset button often fails to fix the issue This defeats the purpose of a deep fryer entirely. 🛠️ 3. Early Product Failure Most reviewers used the fryer 1–4 times before it died. Common symptoms: • No power light • No heat • Reset button stops working • Internal breaker trips and won’t reset Several people bought it as a gift and didn’t discover the defect until after the return window closed. 📦 4. Warranty Frustrations • Warranty is technically one year • But customers must pay shipping both ways, which can cost nearly as much as the fryer • Many felt this made the warranty effectively useless 🧺 5. Minor Positives (When It Worked) A few reviewers noted: • Easy to clean • Good size • Baskets are useful (though handles don’t fit under the lid) These positives disappear once the unit stops functioning. ❌ Overall Sentiment Strongly negative. Customers consistently say they would not recommend the fryer, and several mention losing trust in the Hamilton Beach brand due to repeated appliance failures. ... show more
