  • Try to make this short lol! I love this hutch!
So, I do realize it says rabbit, however, we are not using it for rabbits, we are using it for a classier looking night time go to for our ferrets. This layout is way better than any ferret cage I saw! Trust me, I have only been looking DAILY ALL DAY, for a month now! Finally settled on this! One, the layout is cooler with the two ramps, I can hide their stinky litter box I. The upper closed off room so it contains the smell a little better, and also ferrets poop and litter box is just a nasty eye sore and all their cages seem to be wide open wire ALL THE TIME, and they like to go I. Corners and that isn’t cool with an all wire cage. Yes, I am aware I can get fitted shields to prevent fences landing on my floor constantly when they decide to be a$$holes and use their litter box as a bed instead of a bathroom! Ugh! But the prices on those are ridiculous and again, doesn’t stop us from smelling and seeing it, so this was perfect. Now, with that said the space is great and enough in length without being too big and taking up a whole Room! And it looks nice (besides the hideous paint job they did. Consider repainting it like I did) with that said, this is MOT WATERPROOF by any means if you take it outside and it rains, it will in fact fall apart! If it. Know how or why they list it as a waterproof paint because it isn’t waterproof! Maybe because they did the thinnest coat possible Idk. So, we repainted it and then we did seal it with a water proof sealer because again, if the ferrets poop on wall, it will not be cool trying to scrub out soaked in feces. So PLEASE SEALCOAT IT, if it’s going to be outside. I seal coat regardless because small animals do get things wet sometimes, and you don’t want smells soaking into the wood. It also helps strengthen the wood. Just throwing it out there. Also, this wood is thinner and cheaper so BE CAREFUL when drilling in your screws and make sure they are STRAIGHT or it will in fact crack the wood. Don't drill too much either sometimes just enough os better! Also, yes, it says rabbit hutch, however. If you are a long time rabbit and Guiana pig owner, you will know that they BOTH chew wood to trim their teeth! So, why they made a whole a$$ home made particularly for a RABBIT out of wood, MAKES NOW SENSE TO ME! Prepare for it to be ruined rather fast. Thats just common Knowledge. I mean sir where put metal here and there, however, Any little spot that doesn’t have metal will be chewed and destroyed! So again, for those animals and animals like them, this is a waste for you just saying. But other than that this was THE EASIEST PROJECT me and my hubby put together without even fighting lol! And we had it done in 42 min. So, we had seen some reviews that said it took hours? Like how! I could put this together with our the instructions by just matching up the holes! So that’s a big win! And it’s so much cuter than a typical cage. So, this is my review! Besides the idk 5 hours I put into sealing it and repainting it I think this was a win. I mean hell, you can’t even buy half the supplies to build a cage like this for the 148.00 I paid for the cage and it minimizes the planning and a lot of work and time! So, I say get this if you have a pet that won’t destroy it for its def worth it. Dont blame the company for your rabbit chewing it when you should’ve known rabbits chew wood! Idk what else to say for that! But be prepared to fix the paint job because it is HORRIBLE! My 7 yr old can paint better! lol. But anyways anyone who read this hope this helps you out! Good luck! ... show more

  • Great hutch that helps keep our bun safe when he can’t free-roam
I was nervous buying this hutch after reading other customer reviews, but after having it for a couple of months I’m glad i bought it! It wasn’t difficult to put together- just take stock of everything and refer to the instructions to confirm you have all of the pieces you need before getting started. It’ll help you understand where the process is going. We elected to leave out one of the dividers on the second level so that his litter box can go up there- we use a standard cat littler box and then mounted the hay feeder just above it. There was no structural issue with leaving out the divider. I would like to mention that our bun is a 5lb mini lop who spends the entire day free-roaming the house. He only goes in the hutch overnight or if we have to leave the house. This is both for his safety and because he was getting bored overnight and digging up the carpet. It’s rare that nobody is home though, so the amount of time he spends in the hutch is minimal. That said, after being allowed to free-roam 24/7 for 6 months of his life I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to convince him to accept the hutch. Instead, he was exploring it immediately! He will go in it during the day to use his litter box or just to relax. I think it gives him a sense of having a burrow, and he knows it’s a place where he’s safe and only he gets to go in there. I love that the entire bottom as well as the bottom of the second level are removable! It makes it so easy to clean. Having so many options for doors is incredibly helpful as well, not only for cleaning but also for arranging items for comfort and enrichment. The doors open easily enough by human hands, and he has never managed to jiggle any open himself! He usually uses the door that opens into a ramp. The size is perfect, we have it along one wall in our living room- it’s big enough that I don’t feel guilty that he’s in it all night but narrow enough that it doesn’t overpower the room. ... show more

  • Terrible terrible and more terrible
I would put zero stars if I could. Upon removing from the box, we organized every piece and took note of the letters on each piece which were pretty hard to read. Looked like it should be easy to assemble but literally the holes were drilled in the wrong places, the instructions didnt match up to what the boards looked like. You can see that in the photo where theres an extra piece attached to the board that isnt shown in the instructions. The boards are supposed to be the same length and absolutely are not. The whole thing is assembled in factory backward. Seems like the wood would not be easy to clean as its cheap wood and looks like someone just slapped some crappy paint on it. Not worth the money. Would be nice with the wheels to be able to move around and it seems to be roomy enough. Looks nice, if we could even assemble it and cant return because instructions are unclear on that too and the box is ripped. ... show more

Great product! It was pretty much easy to assemble. I did not use the matt that came with it because I got this for my bunny and I dont want him chewing on it. I got a matt instend, (link at the end) size is perfect for my bunny. I'd say it is a little over priced, more likely to buy it if it was like $40. Not sure what the locks were used for but I used it for the doors etc. Not the most sturdy i've seen. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ATSC9PQ?th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=petpals03d-20&linkId=6e88e0d3883a2afc78e5a84d992cba32&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl ... show more

  • Amazing home on wheels!
The GUTINNEEN Rabbit Hutch Indoor Outdoor Bunny House Guinea Pig Cage on Wheels is one of the best choices I have made. I got this cage for my Guinea pigs and they just love it! The smell around my home has improved, and the ease of cleaning is the best value for money! The room size gives my babies more room to roam without me getting worried about them hiding in my couches. The functionality is amazing, however, I did have one concern. The wood for the build is amazing for the chewability, but we had to bury one of our guinea pigs due to her chewing through the wire. If you buy this product, please be careful. That the metal wiring isn't safe for our babies. Overall, I love this product. ... show more

  • READ THIS REVIEW
Product is as described and other reviews have mentioned. Packaging is well done, with lots of styrofoam and paper to protect the wood during transport. Shipping was fast and it's not too heavy only about 50 lbs or so. The wood is not the best quality and will definitely split if you don't predrill nearly every connecting hole where the screw should be going into another piece of wood. I even had two instances of the wood cracking when I predrilled. There is an odor from either the wood or paints used. Know that there are no wire mesh above the trays for waste/litter removal. The trays are a sturdy plastic in a wood frame that can be difficult to pull out or push in. I added 1/2" by 1" wire mesh on 1" wood over the tops of these waste trays so that my bunny doesn't sit in it's own filth and you can empty them without moving the bunny as there will be nothing underneath the trays to keep the bunny inside if cleaning. Would average about $50-70 additional cost in materials and 15 to 20 minutes of unscheduled assembly. Without anything added to the product, there would be a 1/4 inch gap between the tray and the wall where there could be drips and missed filth that goes onto the floor. Assembly took almost an hour of the actual product as I was careful to predrill nearly every hole. The only holes that didn't need drilling were the hinges for the roof. But i had to move one side of the roof hinge as the holes were off about 1/2". The wheels roll nicely and the doors all latch well enough. There are some slight alignment issues with how the doors were put in with the cheap hardware. The ramps and roof have a gritty roll roofing material that would hold up in an outdoor use and provides enough grip for climbing to the 2nd floor. Know what you're buying here, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone looking for a ready to go out of the box hutch, but for the price it's good enough considering the cost of lumber and materials if you DIY. ... show more

  • Pay really close attention to the pictures even though some of those pictures are not accurate
I put it together by myself with a bad knee so it did take me two hours by myself with a bad knee and I can see why some people are having problems with the instructions and it wouldn’t let me upload any other videos that I took while I was putting it together. There was a little bit of damage Because it is cheap thin wood, but that doesn’t particularly bother me too much but I know it bothers some other people a lot which is why I’m including it in here. You just have to really pay close attention and use a lot of common sense. If you have a lot of experience, putting things together off of paper instructions it shouldn’t be very much of a problem but if you’re not used to putting things together, you might struggle a bit more ... show more
