I received my bunny hutch three days before it said it would be here, which I’m really happy about. It was nicely packaged inside the box so everything was protected. I do wish the package used paper protection instead of styrofoam, as there isn’t any styrofoam recycling where I live, but nothing was damaged so I’m happy. The hutch is so pretty! The bottom pans are not mesh covered, which is why I got this one. I can now order my own special bottom coverings so my bunny’s feet are not hurt from regular mesh. For now I got some woven grass mats to put in there. He has a blast chomping on the mats and they keep him from slipping around in there. The hutch was pretty simple to put together on my own, did take me a bit though because I’m a dork and I kept having to reread the instructions. The quality is really good and sturdy also! The plastic pans in the bottom are nice and deep, I do wish they had like a dresser type track to run on because they do stick just a bit if I’m not being super careful. But they were built in such a way that will definitely be easy to clean. Before this hutch I had a giant one that I actually built myself but I am hoping to move soon and did not want to lug some monstrosity across the state with me. So getting used to the bit smaller size of this one, it is so pretty to look at so that helps. Overall seems to be a good value for what I paid for it. And I did have to contact customer service for some information. They responded super quick! And were very nice! Highly recommend. Also in case anyone needed to know, the wood in this is “high quality fir” as the customer service rep told me. I will try and add photos later. ... show more

Took a long time to get here and arrived with some damage. I can’t return because my bunny needs a bigger home. It otherwise appears to be great quality. It smells like real wood, the whole house has a cedar smell now. I like it. I think they put tar in the roof, I suppose it is an outdoor cage but we are keeping it indoors. The roof seems hard to clean if dust should accumulate. ... show more

!WARNING! This is made from CEDAR—which actively harms rodents like rats or bunnies! The phenols harm their livers—this is documented by formal associations of you Google this. This product should NOT be advertised as bunny or rodent friendly! Opened it up…my wife noticed the smell…examined the wood…also there were some defects that prevented the screws from going through… It also did have some defects, see picture, like the mesh welded over the screw hole. I think the cage is very cool for some other critter…just not rodents. Ease of assembly is low due to some of the defects. ... show more

Overall I'm very glad I bought this. It's bigger than my rabbits previously had. I agree with some that the wood is very soft. The space for the rabbits to enter on the left is a bit low but they don't seem to mind. It's taken one of my rabbits some time to get used to the ramp but they are getting better. I love the pull out trays even though bedding falls out trying to remove them. It looks much classier than a standard wire cage. ... show more
