Smelled very much like laquer or paint, allow to air out at least 24 hrs before putting together. Was easy to put together and sturdy. I purchased this for a tiny housechicken, a serama rooster. Added a roost bar to the house/coop for him to rest on at night. He weighs less than a pound full grown. This setup is good for 1 or 2 tiny seramas. But... manufacturer size dimensions are deceiving. The measurements they show are outside measurements that arent even correct to start with. The actual useable space to the critter inside is 18" wide by 37" long in the interior base. Beginning to feel americans measure different than chinese or we use a different measurement system, because this is not the 1st time I have experienced this w chinese made items. ... show more

Product is nice. I was sent the entirely wrong color but the company made it right. I had a few pieces that were broken but I was able to fix on my own. Recommended that 2 people build but I did it by myself so it’s possible

The hutch overall was pretty nice semi poor construction but was cute and seemed well. The ramp was too steep for my guinea pig he’s is young and would’ve fallen off it. As well as the area that the ramp led up to was poorly supported and it seemed as if he would fall through the bottom even with proper construction of the hutch. I discovered this after an hour or more of labor assembly followed by 40 more minutes of disassembly and repacking the item. Upon issuing a refund with the return of the item I was repeatedly met with inadequate and unsatisfactory answers to my genuine concerns and need for full compensation. To start the entire transaction off by offering me $25 of refunding and asking I keep the item is disturbingly un-hospitable. Upon me explaining the structural concerns I had as well as the fact that it took up more space than needed for me and my living situation, I was given suggestions on how to fix their item that they sent me to be fully functioning upon assembly. If I have to alter fix or change the item I received it clearly doesn’t fit my needs. The hutch itself would’ve been fine if it fit the spacial needs and safety concerns I have. Overall don’t buy this unless you have the space and are willing to customize it yourself to make sure it is safe and secure in your own space. I am disappointed that I am still losing money after being in contact with customer service and packing the item away to be returned, disappointed and displeased. ... show more

Awful odor out of the packaging. Assembly wasn’t too difficult, even alone. Seems like it’ll be easy to clean and looks beautiful. However very much not chew proof!! My bunny was chewing the ramp in the first ten minutes 😔

It is soft wood. But you are not paying an arm and a leg for it either. If you want more than you need to spend more. I just needed something to hold a kitten. This way she could be introduced into the home with other pets. She loves it. It protects her and lets her become comfortable with her new siblings ... show more
