This is absolute garbage. If it wasn't insanely difficult to return I would not be keeping it. Apart from the horrible smell (a low quality pine oil & paint) the materials are the lowest quality possible. The wood pieces are warped, scratched, and flimsy. The metal mesh is loose, bent, and flimsy(I wouldn't be surprised if a rodent could somehow bite threw it). Since I wasted more than $200 on this I am attempting to assemble it. It's an atrocious process. The metal pieces don't cover the edges that they are supposed to and it's super hard to assemble so that the edges line up because there are no pre drilled holes in the wood and because the instructions are wrong. Also I hate that the screws are the wrong type and metal so they stick out and look stupid.

Was slightly tricky to put together, does take two people like the manual states. It is a nice, spacious, 4 level habitat with lots of locking doors. The 2 little houses on 2 different levels is a nice added addition. our 2 ferrets seem happy. The screws on 1 of the ramps became loose and we had to super glue them into the wood and bracket to secure them, but it wasn’t that huge of a deal. The habitat seems safe and secure. We love the wood look. You can choose your own stain color. We did have to let the habitat pieces air out for a few days before assembling them together because the stain smell was slightly intense. The only thing we might change would be the lower level ramp. You have to remember to move the bottom of it upwards before trying to pull the bottom tray out to clean it. We would recommend this habitat to others.

I purchased this cage in advance of getting a chinchilla. The more research I did before getting the animal I feared that this may not be the one. I liked the size of it as I knew chinchillas need a lot of space to run around. However, the cage is made of flimsy chicken wire type metal and you cannot attach any ledges or accessories to it. I have had to make a few modifications, with more on the way, in order to have activities for a chinchilla. As you can see in the picture I added a piece of wood to the side to help mount my wheel. The frame is soft wood and painted or stained grey, and I'm hoping that my chin does not chew it. As stated in another review, the shelves are PVC covered yes, but have many bubbles in them that with some work and a heat gun can be smoothed out. Also the top, or biggest shelf, is done in two pieces and a gap is present in the middle. Assembly was not super difficult, but pay attention as pieces are marked but do not indicate which way they go. I had to disassemble a couple times as it was not clear on which piece went where. I think it would be good cage for rats or hamsters and such, but not a chinchilla. Overall, it seems flimsy to me, but will have to do for now. Wish I had known more before I bought it.

Although the directions were not the easiest to understand, it was worth the 2 hours it took building it. It’s very big and spacious and my chinchillas absolutely love it. ❤️

This stand was easy to assemble and just what my chinchilla needed so he had plenty of space to jump around. The wheels on the bottom made moving it around easy as can be. Cleaning the bottom tray was easy cause it just slides right out. Also lots of doors for differrent access.

Do not waste your time or money! This thing is not as advertised and is a piece of junk. It arrived in a damaged box missing many vital pieces, but the pieces I did receive were all bubbled, incorrectly glued, and warped. For $200, the product should NOT be this quality. There are nicer cages for the same amount or less, even. The seller is being very unreasonable in returning for a refund- offered me $20 refund when I can’t even use what I received to build the cage! Laughable. It is advertised to be easy to clean but it what they described is nothing like what you will get. There’s a thin piece of plastic glued over particle board type wood and the pieces I did get it’s glued so poorly there’s no way that water, feces, or urine wouldn’t get directly to the wood and ruin it within a few weeks if not days.

This cage is really large when put together so that is a plus. I was seriously disappointed with the quality of it though. It’s cheap wood and it’s flimsy. Put together it is much more sturdy feeling. Some hinges and locks come already installed and the ones that come installed we’re not done right so they are uneven and therefore the lock doesn’t lock like it should. The instructions were not so very clear so some parts are like a guessing game. I put stuff together a lot so I am familiar with assembly instructions. These were just confusing. If I didn’t need this cage so bad I probably would have sent it back. Size is really nice though
