YES, you have to assemble it, but there are good clear instructions, the parts are each labeled and individually packaged (and spares are included) so if you read carefully and follow the directions it should only take 20-30 minutes. The parts are sold and appear to be well made and fit correctly and the whole assembly goes together very well and should last a good long time. The back will fit fine for all but maybe a 7 footer (G) and the extra wide seat we picked allows you to move around instead of being 'locked' into one position. I very good buy when you actually see it, sit in it, and consider what you paid for it and what you got for your money. This first one was for my wife whose judges chair she'd uses for years broke and leg and can't be fixed. The next one will be for me. ... show more

Purchased May 20, 2025 White and Black. I really like this chair very comfortable and very well made it has held up well. Looks brand new still. However the gas lift began to fail about 2 months ago it would drop slowly to bottom. This was very infrequent at first, but started to be annoying so February 14th of 2026 I contacted GTplayer Customer service which had a link on their web page and requested you provide pictures of the of the issue and the washing label under the seat. I sent these off along with my Amazon invoice via email. I got a reply the next day that it was a bad gas lift and they indicated a replacement order for the lift was sent to logistics for shipping. Two days later I got the UPS tracking from them via email and it arrived about 7 days later. I was down with a shoulder injury and the flu until now. I just replaced the lift and the Chair is great again. I little bit fiddling to do the work. I had sent them an email asking for directions and the replied next day with instructions and a few pics detailing the process. I cannot say how awesome their customer service is, although the lift failed it was readily replaced (on a 10 month old chair) and very nice people to deal with. If only all customer support was like this! Hence my 5 stars instead of 4 because of failed lift but customer support warrants the 5 stars. You can't go wrong with support like that! ... show more

Seems like a good chair no issues there. But it was a bulky box and looked like it was open accidentally during transport because it was retapped. It was missing the instructions on how to put together and was missing the cover for the hydraulic.

So far, so good, just got it, pretty easy to setup - clear instructions and numbered parts packaging, took maybe 30 minutes. Good quality, pretty comfortable - I need to fine-tune the headrest and lumbar support position, but so far so good. Glad I got the wider version of this without the wings, I sit with my left foot up and under my right thigh alot and this chair has plenty of room for that. ... show more

The mechanism that goes under the seat and works the entire chair has the holes drilled in the wrong spot. (Will update if they can respond but not a same day response from customer service)Edit they did respond after hours in the manual and are extremely pleasant.
