I researched, waited to try to get best price, hemmed and hawed ... Then finally took the plunge. I am so glad I did! This is the best machine I've ever owned, and I will be buying again as gifts. I've used the vacuum several times daily since purchasing; they have quickly become favorites. Decent suction, easy maintenance and emptying of the dirt chamber. Powerful and relatively quiet. I replaced three corded vacuums with this set. The replaced machines still worked well (So I thought), but I was looking to replace three units with one, with the ease and portability of cordless. As many have done, when I received this vacuum I used the current vacuums, then the new machine. I will echo what has been said...I was surprised that the new machine picked up so much more dirt and pet hair. The battery life is outstanding. Just deplete fully before you recharge, and don't leave on charger. I am not an electrical engineer, but I've read this is key to ensuring long-life with batteries, esp. lithium. IMO, from years of using these tools I think it is valid ..I have some batteries still going strong after 8 years of use.

I am shocked at the fabulous performance of this vacuum. I was looking for a kitchen broom/vacuum but I researched heavily and saw this one. Reviewers kept referring to the strength of its suction. So I was drawn to this because I’ve had several expensive vacuums, twice this price, and suction was nowhere as strong as this. I’m thrilled! It does hold a charge for an hour and a half and it dies fully charge in 30 minutes, just as their text says. We have quite new carpeting along with a small dog who loves dropping hair as he goes his way! This vacuum out performed anything I’ve ever used! You can actually see the dirt and hair and fuzz through the clear trash section. LORD! I was literally shocked. Two friends came and wanted a demonstration. They both bought this model. It comes with a small hand-held model that is also light weight yet amazingly powerful! With both of these, the price is so worth it for me! I’d order it again in a heartbeat but I’ll bet it will last a long time!

So far so good. I am amazed on how silent this vacuum is!! when opening up the box it wasn't hard to put together just the handle and the "broom" part of the vacuum is all you have to put together. the only reason I would put a star down is that you have to empty it frequently. like i vacuumed one room and then have to empty it to vacuum another room. but i do like how it can get under the table very easily and pushes on tile and carpet with ease. the handheld vac piece is great because when using it on the couch it is very smooth! overall great vacuum!

I bought this because the design seems to make more sense than the stick vacuums. I no longer use my stick vacuums there's always something falling apart or breaking. And with this vacuum there's no more clogs. The maneuverability is really cool, light and smooth. You can drive it with one finger. Kind of like a little race car. They both have a lot of power. The upright picks up three or four times more than the stick vacuums. I compared them, I vacuumed a room with a stick vacuum picked up a small amount, and then ran the Platinum over the same carpet and picked up a lot more! The noise level is about what you would expect, the operation and the results makeup for it. The scented part of the cartridges is not as offensive as people claim. It only lingers as you're cleaning. I find it soothing. I also find the battery life on both to be better than they advertise. Standby battery is as expected. The charging time is spot on accurate. The assembly and operation and cleaning up the device is easy peasy. Oh yeah. They are cool looking especially when charging!

After my Dyson cordless vacuum started having issues I looked for a replacement vacuum and chose the Gtech AirRam2 Platinum. I am quite impressed so far! It has far better suction and pick up than the Dyson I had. I have 3 long haired pets and I need a good vacuum! The Gtech works amazingly for this. It’s lightweight, quiet, easy to assemble and use and does an incredible job cleaning carpet and hard surfaces. I am finding it performs far better than Dyson and Shark! I also got the handheld vacuum they sell and am so in love with it! It’s perfect for furniture, stairs and it has attachments for cobwebs and getting into smaller areas. I hope the longevity is as good as everything else. Fingers crossed that it will last a long time and keep working as well as it does now.
