Easy to use, even with smartphones

    • Great option for a starter projector
This is a great option if you're just looking for a projector to get you by until you can afford to invest in a really nice one. The picture quality is great but only if you make sure you're at the correct distance from the screen when you place it. The sound is crystal clear, but only if you're close enough to it to hear it because it doesn't have Bluetooth so it can't connect to Bluetooth speakers and hard wiring a Bluetooth speaker to it caused so many issues while the speaker tried to fight between the hardwiring to the projector and Bluetooth connections to the plethora of Bluetooth-enabled devices in the general vicinity that it wasn't worth it to bother. The fan is quite loud on this so it stinks that you have to be so close to be able to hear it, even at top volume, but it's not prohibitively loud. It also requires something like a Chromecast to connect to most apps (I couldn't for the life of me get it to allow me to play anything from Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, HBOMax, MoviesAnywhere, Amazon Prime Video, or Kanopy using the screen mirroring option. I could only get audio but no video until I hooked up a Chromecast and used that instead), so unless you just want to watch YouTube videos, you'll need to invest in a Chromecast or else make sure your movie files are on a USB stick or something. All that said, after getting the Chromecast, I've literally used it every night to project onto my bedroom wall to watch YouTube DIYs and catch up on Stranger Things and it's been incredible. It comes with a screen that's actually quite nice, as well as hooks and adhesive tape to mount it (I'm saving those for my fence outside and have just used thumbtacks in my house). TL;DR: If you're looking for a small, intimate outdoor movie or want to watch your favorite shows on a bigger screen indoors than the TV you own and you either already have or don't mind buying a Chromecast, this is a great option, but if you're looking for something that you can use at a larger gathering with some Bluetooth speakers to boost the sound or you're not into having to invest in additional equipment to fully enjoy this, then I would say this projector is not for you and you may want to invest in something better-suited to your needs. I'm loving it for personal indoor use at home, but it was a flop at my brother's Memorial Day Picnic bc nobody could hear the movie from maybe 50 feet across the yard from the thing. ... show more

I bought this projector a little while back and it's a great projector for the price. Recently my dog chewed up my remote and I couldn't adjust the volume on the projector without it. I called customer service to see if they could help with it and the last helped me trouble shoot it and I was able to turn the column back to normal. They were supposed to send me the link to a replacement remote via email but when they emailed me, they instead just wanted to send me a complimentary one. They were very helpful and it's very nice to reicieve the complimentary one even though I was fine on buying a replacement.     • Good Bang for the Buck
I am retired now but spent years doing Video Conferencing for a Gov't facility. As such I utilized many different projectors. Christie, Epson, Canon, Etc. in our conference rooms. For a home unit this is unit is right up there in a dark environment. The interfaces are adequate, BUT a 2nd HDMI would be nice so as to avoid purchasing, using an external A/B switch box. What the life span will be I don't know yet. There are some drawbacks: Android devices can only be connected wirelessly and Dolby audio has issues because of Licensing, might be good to make a .pdf available for review, there is a recommended number of hours per day that it be used then cooled down (8 I think I can't seem to find the reference right now). for the price this unit will do more than most people will ever use. dck ... show more

I really ended up liking this projector. At first it did not sync well with the Bluetooth with my phone. Or my computer. However I bought the Roku stick. I’m pretty sure it works at the fire stick as well. Once I put it in that worked like a charm it was instant. And I could watch all the movies I wanted and they were some free stuff too. I Projects on a white wall. With either my curtains closed or in the evenings when it’s dark outside. If you turn on all the lights you can’t see the projection but if you turn off the lights in the room it looks like a movie theater. So I treat myself every evening to a whole movie. It does not run hot or make noise. I really love it and it’s not too big. So make sure that you get a Roku stick or something that will let you run your movies. When I try to do the Bluetooth with my phone it would start buffering and it wouldn’t show. Otherwise everything else is very wonderful. The color also is pretty good. Pros: pretty easy to set up and use Cons: volume is extremely low and sometimes the bluetooth doesn't connect properly. I ordered this for a work event and the volume was really low. It probably works best if you're watching movies at home with a few people, but not for large groups.

    • Great projector for regular rooms!
I got this because I didn't want a TV to take some space on my dresser and didn't want to drill any holes to hang a TV. Picture quality is great and sound is awesome! My only thing is when using the phone setting the best way to use it is through USB rather than bluetooth. There is some latency with it. You also cannot stream netflix/prime/hbo/etc through USB & Bluetooth connection. The app will recognize it as like a recording software and block the image. So I just got a Roku and problem solved. But still a fantastic projector for the price! ... show more
