When it arrived and I tried to set it up, it asked if I wanted to use wifi or an ethernet connection. I wanted to use wifi and went through the steps to select my network and enter the password. It wouldn't connect. I had to do troubleshooting on the Xbox/Microsoft website (a bad sign when you have to troubleshoot something you just got) to see that I would need to set it up with an ethernet cable first and then switch to wifi after I got through setup. I've had several xbox models before (new, used, refurbished) and have never had to do that. Should have returned it that day. But I kept it and it worked fine on wifi for a while. Then one day I turned it on and it wouldn't connect to Xbox Live...said I needed to setup internet. So I tried to setup my wifi network again. Wouldn't work. So I had to connect it via ethernet again and tried to switch it over to wifi like I did the day I got it. Still won't connect to wifi, so for now I have to leave it connected to the ethernet cable, which is annoying because it has to be in a room I don't want it in. My other wifi enabled devices connect to wifi without issue. I know it's refurbished, but when you pay for something, you expect it to work correctly. Didnt come in the xbox box. Just a cardboard amazon box. Xbox is all dinged up. Big gouge out of the corner. Controlled is an off brand, not an actual xbox controller. Storage and account was not wiped. Still has all the previous owners games and information and account on it. Xbox keeps just shutting off and restarting. Complete trash and a waste of money! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me start off by saying how excited I was to finally be getting an Xbox of my own.....just to be given junk. I have had a very frustrating experience so far. When received, I go to set up & find out they sent me the wrong power cord...ok things happen. I use my husband's for the time being just to see if the console is even working.....I was able to start the set up just fine using my phone(Xbox app) but wait get to the end of set up & the remote doesn't work. New batteries, nothing, charger cord, nothing...so can't continue anymore ...Well the controller sent was more like a generic brand replacement (not what is pictured) Whatever Xbox seems ok. I then purchased my own cord and controller since my replacement for those 2 items after contacting customer support is taking soooo long(2nd pic is what I sent them of the power cord I'm needing, 3rd & 4th pick is what was sent). I then find out that the picture will go on & off (in 1st video). I contact customer service asking for a replacement (not a refund) they're helpful and send me the label, went to ship out console and accessories today......got home...my replacement controller and power cord are here (finally). I open the package just to see another generic controller (black now) & another wrong power cord. Now I'm requesting a refund, this is absolutely unacceptable. I know it's refurbished but really??? My husband purchased his Xbox series S refurbished from a different seller and we have had it for a year now , NO issues whatsoever. Are employees even paying attention to what they are packaging. I recently purchased the Xbox console, excited to dive into the world of gaming. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was short-lived. Upon opening the box, I was dismayed to find that the controller was broken right out of the packaging. Yes, you read that right - a brand-new, supposedly quality-checked controller was defective from the start. But that wasn't the only issue. The HDMI cable provided with the console was also malfunctioning, making it impossible to get a stable connection to my TV. To add insult to injury, the sync cable for the controller was the wrong type, rendering it useless. A broken controller, faulty HDMI cable, and incorrect sync cable are unacceptable quality control issues that have left a sour taste in my mouth. I would caution potential buyers to think twice before making a purchase. As for me, I'll be seeking a replacement or refund and hoping for a better experience in the future. *Pros:* None, unfortunately. *Cons:* Broken controller, malfunctioning HDMI cable, incorrect sync cable, poor quality control. ... show more

It’s a piece of crap. It started having problems a few months after I bought it. It won’t start sometimes and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to reset it to get it to work again. Of course then you have to reload everything and reload in. The dvd player won’t work for movies and won’t recognize game discs half the time. All in all, I’d say don’t trust them to send you a decent product and of course the time to send it back lasts ends right before you start having problems. ... show more

The xbox I received does not work. I loaded my games and 3/3 games crash after the title / main screen (once the actual gameplay loads in, it crashes). I tried different cables, different settings, everything the internet said to try and nothing works. Very disappointed.

I reveived this today, was excited, plugged it in, and I get an ERROR message (as shown in pics). So I try the factory reset and it does nothing. I go to the internet as advised,and it says to do the "offline update", and that is a non cluckable choice, and now the website says I would need specific PC and cables and jump drives specially formatted to attempt to reset it. I paid for a useable system, and I am not tech savvy enough to do all this work without fear of damaging it. And I left a review, bc I couldn't find a "contact seller" button for this item. Which means I have to go through the return policy and with only 1 in stick, who knows how long that wait will be. So but with caution. They get 1 star bc its the minimum, and it was nicely packed and quickly shipped. But I'm glad this wasn't a gift for someone else, bc I'd feel real bad for them right now. ... show more
