Size: 21" Push
I love this mower (80v, 21", push). It cuts evenly and completely. The 80v power makes all the difference. My side yard has been taken over by wild geraniums which have a very tough stem. My old 40v Kobalt (made for Lowe's by Greenworks) was a nice little mower that lasted over 10 yrs. but didn't cut evenly any more no matter how many times I sharpened the blades. I like that this 21" has a single blade, and the mulch function is fantastic - the grass and weed trimmings essentially disappear. The mower has a nice collection bag, but I may never use it. The 4Ah battery is adequate so far. I've been easily able to do the whole 1/5(?) acre on one charge and it took lesss than 2 hrs. to recharge. The handle folds down to the size of the mower making it easy to store upright on the rear wheels or four on the floor. I'm going to take better care of the battery this time, charging and storing it indoors instead of the hot and cold garage. ... show more

  • I'm impressed
Size: 21" Push
I've been waiting for the battery mower technology to mature for a while now and decided to pull the trigger when the 80V systems came out. The mower arrived two weeks ago and replaces a 10 year old self propelled Honda. First, I bought the non self-propelled version of this mower. I'm happy I did. The mower is light enough and the wheels roll smooth enough that pushing this mower across my flat lawn takes very little effort. My wife took a turn on the mower and agreed. One less thing to spend extra money on and one less thing to go wrong or wear out. Second, starting the mower is a snap. Push the button and pull the bail handle and you're ready to go. It's pretty quiet...like a high-rpm fan. No gas, no oil, no exhaust fumes. Love it. Third, I've been impressed with the mower performance and the battery life. I cut my grass every 5-6 days, so it's rarely tall. The mower mulched the grass into fine particles leaving no trail. From a full charge (3 bars), it cut my front and back yard grass with 2 bar remaining. 2 bars indicates a charge level between 33% and 65% remaining. I'll try to cut the entire lawn with what remains next time. I'm interested to see if I can get two full lawn cuts. After that experiment, I'll likely recharge the battery after every use. It will be interesting to cut really tall grass, really wet grass, and really tall wet grass. I've not had the opportunity yet. Overall, I'm impressed with the mower. Its powerful, lightweight, and just darn cool. ... show more

  • which I was very happy with. I then bought the 80v Leaf Blower
Size: 21" Push
I've slowly been changing all my gas powered yard equipment over to Greenworks. I started with the 60v string trimmer, which I was very happy with. I then bought the 80v Leaf Blower, which also worked really well For years I have been trying to find a good alternate for my gas powered lawnmower. A few years back I even tried a butane powered lawnmower. Worked for a bit, but in the long run it just wanted a good replacement,. Upon receiving the Greenworks Pro 21 inch 80 volt mower and fully testing it out, I can finally say I've found that replacement. Yesterday I put my gas powered Husqvarna out on the street, with a note saying "Help yourself - it works!" Someone took it within an hour. This lawnmower is a beast. The battery got through my entire lawn and I didn't even drop the battery gauge one level. The machine operates quite quietly compared to a gas powered lawnmower. My neighbor four houses down had his gas mower going at the same time, and his produced significantly more sound than mine. The Mower cut my grass quite well. It some dense spots you can feel the mower putting more power into the blades, which it cut through with no problems. My grass was cut nice and even. The lever on the side allows you to raise the blades with one hand. Very nice! Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons of this mower: Pros No more gas! No more fumes. No more oil changes! Produces very little noise when operating Very light compared to a gas powered mower This Greenworks model can fold up and be stored standing up for the winter The 80v Battery can go a long way One handed lever to raise blades very easy to use Cons The handlebar feels kind of filmsy. I feel like Greenworks could have spent a few extra bucks here. That about sums it up. I would highly suggest this mower if you are looking to ditch your gas powered mower. I'll follow up this review in a few months to see if my opinion of it has changed. ... show more

  • Great product easy assembly Great product easy assembly
Size: 21" Push
I bought this in the winter when it went on sale, so I haven't used it yet. However I had an easy time assembling the unit, took less than 5 minutes. Its heavier than I expected. Push button start worked as expected and it was surprisingly quiet even inside. Will update after use. 4/10/23 update: I finally used the lawnmower today. It is very quiet and wont disturb your neighbors, the blade cutting was excellent and the battery life was superb. I cut 1440 sq ft that included my front and backyard and still had 2 out of 3 bars of battery life left when I finished. It was easy to use, just push a button and squeeze the lever and you're mowing. I definitely recommend I cut my front and backyards 2x before I charged the battery, and I still had 2 bars on the battery life indicator. Update 4/22/24 after my first mow of the spring, the battery went out and would not recharge. Ive only had the mower 1 year. Disappointed 😞 I contacted customer service and they are sending me a new battery to replace the bad one. ... show more

  • Does a good job cutting the lawn
Size: 21" Push
Very happy with the mower and I bought an extra battery to give extra mowing time. Light enough so I can lift onto my pickup truck.

  • Light, Powerful, and Easy to Use
Size: 21" Push
I've had a Toro push mower with a Honda engine for 17 years. It has been incredibly reliable, and I am very satisfied with it. After a long winter of inactivity, it seemed to be showing its age for the first time this year. Curious, I wondered if electric mowers had risen to the point where they had the power of a good gas mower. In my searching, I saw several recommendations for Greenworks, a brand I had never heard of before. A powerful motor was important to me, as was battery life. This 80V push mower was very competitively priced at $348.00. After comparing some other brands, I decided to give it a try. It was very easy to assemble, only requiring the handle to be set in two places. The fan noise of the battery charger surprised me a little bit, but wasn't a problem. Mowing my full 1/3 acre lawn today, I found it to be about half the effort of my gas mower. Between the weight, noise, fumes, and power, it was so much more enjoyable. The best feature might be that the mower sends more power to the blades when you get into thicker grass, which places higher demand on the battery only when needed. In thinner grass it spins down to conserve power. Compared to my old mower, I did need to place the wheels slightly inside the track of the previous pass, to ensure coverage. Not a big deal, either. If I had one complaint, it is that a second battery from Greenworks will cost me nearly as much ($300) as the mower itself ($348). There are replacements from off-brand manufacturers, but my experience with phone and camera batteries is that those are never as good as the real thing. Maybe they have sales, but that is a concern to me long-term. Electric motors have been around forever, so hopefully this will be a reliable mower and last half as long as its predecessor. ... show more

  • Works great
Size: 21" Push
Update after 3 months: Lost it. Absolutely zero problems with this mower. The only minor issue so far is that the "skirt" that smooths the grass after driving over it is long enough that I think the mower took a chunk out of it. This is purely cosmetic, and didn't damage the mower whatsoever. Other than that, I never want to go back to combustion. This mower is quiet, powerful, and full-featured. Pros: Quiet. You only hear the whir of the blade, and it also sounds like the bag portion rattles a bit when you go over bumps. The fact that I can even hear that rattle shows how quiet this thing is. Powerful. I have some super dense grass thanks to a flow from the sump pump. The 80v version went through this at least as well as my gas mower, if not better. All the modes. Bag, mulch, or side ejection. All included. Solid battery life. I have a very hilly 1/4 acre, and I took extra time due to still learning my yard. The battery showed 2 out of 3 lights still green, which means at least 50% battery remaining. The battery charger has a fan in case the battery gets hot, which is great. So far I've had zero problems charging my battery. One handle to raise or lower the mower. This is so incredibly convenient. Folds vertically. The mower isn't light by any means, but compared to a gas mower, it's positively agile and stores so nicely. Very happy with this. Cons: The Folding function on the handle isn't perfect. You have to lower the mower to the lowest position (super easy thanks to the handle!) before you can fold the handle. Even then, the handle has 2 small plastic tabs on either side which must be pulled at the same time to raise or lower the handle. When the handle is down, this also means the weight of the handle is pushing on the tabs, making them harder to pull. Someone with limited mobility may need assistance folding the handle. Worth noting: I saw several people complaining they couldn't figure out how to start the mower. There's a sticker with pictures right beside the button. Press the "on" button, then hold down the safety bar to engage the blade. Maybe this is different on different mowers, but for this unit, you just need to look at the sticker. On battery life. I think many people could be confused by the "low power" mode, and think this means the battery is bad. The mower intelligently senses when you need full power, and goes into a low-energy mode for longer runtime. I think a lot of people are hearing the mower go to low power, and assume it's defective. The energy saving mode is intended! The mower should throttle up and down as needed. Store your battery indoors for longer life. A large battery like this shouldn't be left outdoors over the winter. Although a rechargeable battery like this won't totally freeze even in sub-zero temperatures, they work better when kept at room temperature. I keep my charger base indoors, and I leave my battery on the base when not in use. Overall: I'm never going back to gas if this mower keeps performing. It's lightweight, it folds easily, and it's not damaging me with fumes or noise. I love it. ... show more

  • Absolutely amazing lawn mower! Absolutely amazing lawn mower!
Size: 21" Push
Ah, the great outdoors, where grass grows as enthusiastically as a teenager during a growth spurt. But fear not, for the Greenworks 80V Cordless Lawn Mower is here – the Gandalf of lawn mowers, wise, powerful, and ready to turn your yard into a masterpiece worthy of a gardening magazine cover! Assembling this lawn-taming beast was easier than teaching a cat to fetch. Click, snap, and voila! I was armed with what appeared to be a magic wand (okay, it was the handle of the mower), ready to sculpt my lawn into a work of art. Firstly, power – and boy, does this mower have it! With the 80V battery, it's like the lawnmower version of a sports car – zero to mowing speed in the blink of an eye! I revved it up, and the grass trembled like it was in a hurricane evacuation. The 21-inch cutting deck is like a grass guillotine (but less gruesome, of course). It glided through the unruly blades with the precision of a surgeon, leaving a trail of neatly trimmed grass in its wake. I almost heard a choir singing "Hallelujah" as I mowed. But wait, there's more! The adjustable cutting height is like a grass stylist's dream come true. It's a 'salon' for your lawn – whether you prefer a buzz cut or a more laid-back trim, this mower's got you covered! Now, let's talk about the brushless motor. Not only is it powerful, but it's also quieter than a snoring hedgehog. I could almost hear the grass whispering, "Thanks for the trim, mate!" However, every hero has its Achilles' heel. This mower, though a grass-grooming superhero, might struggle a tad with overly long and damp grass, making it a bit grumpy, much like waking up on a Monday morning. Maneuverability? Smoother than a well-kept lawn! The ergonomic handle and effortless push made me feel like a lawn whisperer. Plus, it's cordless, so no tangling with pesky cords while dancing through the daisies! In conclusion, the Greenworks 80V Cordless Lawn Mower is a game-changer in the world of yard maintenance. It's a lawn-transforming machine that turns mowing into a delightful chore. So, grab this mower, embrace your inner lawn artist, and sculpt that grass canvas like a boss! ... show more
