    • Mostly Positive -- But It Broke Already

I had been mostly happy with this mower until today. Today the kill switch handle that you have to hold in position while the mower is in use broke off in my hand. It's only three months old. Hopefully the manufacturer will replace the part or the entire mower. Otherwise, I'd been very happy with the maneuverability and light weight of this mower and very happy to have an electric mower -- once I bought some extra batteries so I could do the front and back without taking a couple hours off to recharge. The handle was a little low to me (and I'm not tall at 5'8"). I wish it was adjustable but maybe I should've bought the more expensive model. The cutting deck is fine. On the smaller side, but -- again -- I didn't want to spend more for a bigger one. Overall, this mower is easy to use. Easy to turn on compared to the old pull rope (don't miss that!). And it's relatively quiet. Hopefully the broken handle issue will be resolved quickly and I can update this review. UPDATE: It was long, long process that included three different lengthy times on hold waiting for customer service. And then after that the wrong part got sent to me. But ultimately Greenworks sent me a whole new mower, which came with a new pair of batteries. And they let me keep the original batteries so now I have two pairs (and two chargers). That's super handy. Like so many things, it was giant pain in the ass, but unlike so many things it ended up better in the end.     • Buy a SunJoe!

I had a SunJoe and it was amazing. Needed a new one but it was out of stock. I bought this one. It didn’t work right from day one. I contact the seller never heard from them. I contacted Amazon abs he said they would send a new one, to wait one week. If the seller didn’t contact Amazon they would send me a replacement. Guy said it was in his file abs I didn’t need to contact Amazon it would automatically be sent if the seller didn’t contact t them. Nothing! I was busy at the time abs I didn’t use it much. Well it has never worked right. It is awful. The SunJoe was light and the battery lasted my whole lawn actually. I loved it. But it was worn out. This one is much heavier. It cuts in and out. Did that the first day. Batteries run out. I bought this brand because I had a leaf blower from them and it is fine. Well this one takes two batteries and they are not the same size as my leaf blower. The way it is designed the front wheels seem lower than the grass catcher on the back so the grass has to push upward. It cuts out over and over and over. The wheels seem to stick in the grass. So where the SunJoe just bopped along abs with one battery charge I was done in a. Hour. I fight with this one every time. Just spent 5 hour ours abs my lawn in not half done and the batteries are back on the charger for the umpteenth time. So hard to push. So tiny how is that even possible! Well it is. I loved the chargeable SunJoe I despise this Mower. Stay far away from this mower. I wish I had of bough a SunJoe. I wish I had made Amazon send a replacement or a refund. I mean greenworks never emailed or called or anything!!!! This lawnmower is garbage, and I mean Literally and figuratively. I reported this mower cut out on day one! Amazon gets a 1/10 Green works gets a 0/10 And the mower gets a negative number it is so awful!!!!!! ... show more

This thing is tiny, really easy to control for me (5'2") it does have to be emptied pretty often as the bag is also tiny. You may benefit from having an extra battery as it only lasts around 30-45 min depending on how overgrown your lawn is. It had no trouble getting through weeds, high grass and even a couple of sticks that I missed when clearing the yard. Easy to start, just pull the lever on the handle while holding the button. Great no fuss mower for people with a small yard who don't want to have to tinker with a million pieces. ... show more

It feels like a kid’s toy but really does a good job if you’re religious about cutting your grass before it gets out of hand. If you let it go too far, it’s gonna shut off a bunch of times as it works through the thick grass…come to think of it that’s exactly what my gas powered mower does too. So, yeah it’s a good mower. Electric does most everything better than gas except for the ability to put more gas in the tank immediately and keep chugging. I’m still a fan though…forces me to take water (beer) breaks periodically ;-) ... show more

This is not a big mower, nor a powerful one, but it is perfect for my small lawn and all my trees and bushes. I can get two full mows off of one charge and it is so quiet. Definitely loving this little guy.

I searched for months for something affordable and cordless. When this went on sale I took a chance even though it’s not the brand I originally wanted. I am so happy with this little mower. I’m short and petite so it works well for my stature.
