These GreenPan Valencia Pro Ceramic Fry Pans are simply the best fry pans we have ever cooked with! The heavy triclad base heats evenly, the handles are comfortable and remain cool on the cooktop (use hot pad of course when heated in oven), and since food does not stick to the healthy, amazingly non-stick ceramic coating, they clean up effortlessly. Even though GreenPan says you can use metal utensils, we always use non-metal spatulas, tongs, and etc. to insure the longest service life possible. We also always use a little clarified butter or other quality oil for anything we cook; very little is needed. We have fried bacon, ham, eggs, chicken, and fish perfectly in these pans. Superb GreenPan! (Note: It would be good if GreenPan used the same high quality handles as the ones on the Valencia and other upper-level models of their fry pans and cookware to insure cool, SAFE handling for their customers.) ... show more

Buying new pans these days pushes you down all kinds of rabbit holes - reviews by experts, Amazon users, staring at specifications for pan thickness and dishwasher and oven safety (and at what temperature). After 2 months of use, I can say that these are great pans. They have good weight, the handles do not get hot when cooking, and many of the lids are interchangeable. One does get a bit scared when oils or lemon juice blackens at the bottom of a pan, but the black part comes right off when following the instructions for cleaning. The non-stick coating is doing just fine (and despite some of the comments of other users, the pans do not chip easily - I wonder if they are reviewing the same pans!). Buying the special sponges is a good idea - they are essentially for proper cleaning. I look forward to using these pans for years to come. ... show more

It's been over a year now of almost daily/weekly cooking with these. They are fantastic. They heat up extremely quick and I have not had a problem with cleaning them at all. I once had some stuff get way over cooked and stuck, but using the supplied polishing pad (same exact thing as a "Magic Sponge") cleaned it up with minimal elbow grease. No need to let these "soak" in the sink to break stuff up. If you leave it on the stove dirty for a week, the stuff rinses right off and cleans up perfect with a soapy sponge. I read about people having issues with how it was packaged, but it seems the manufacture fixed the issue, as mine cam extremely well packaged and protected with numerous layers of extra cardboard and every item had it's own foam wrap. My only issue is I wish they made the lips of all the bowls and pans rimmed with a radius to prevent them from chipping so easily. The thin lips and squared edges promotes chips. If it was rimmed/thicker lips with a smooth radius they wouldn't chip as easily. Mind you, there's very few chips but they exist and I suspect over the years will get worse. ... show more

These pans are works of art! They are substantial without being too heavy. The surface heats evenly, cleanup is so easy. We only wash by hand as per manufacturer's recommendation. The set comes with felt dividers to safely stack the pans and avoid damage to the non stick surface. We are 100% satisfied and don't think we will ever need to replace these pans. ... show more

First of all, this pot and pan set is a great looking set and very high quality. Has every pot/pan size you need. However, coming from T-fal pans to GreenPan is a bit of an adjustment. These pans are non-stick when pre-heated correctly at a low temp for 2 minutes with oil. You can't use non-stick spray oil as it will actually damage the coating. I recommend using avocado oil with these pans. Coating is fairly durable. I ordered these about 6 months ago and I am noticing some minor chips, but my pans get heavy use nearly every day. Hold up longer that a T-fal set though, very impressed so far. ... show more

They say that people really do read reviews. I agree as I am one of those people. I also write reviews, not for every product, but definitely for those products that warrant a review. Green Pans Valencia series is one such product. I purchased these pans and pots to replace two other sets of non-stick we have. One is an original Emeril Lagasse set from 2004. Shows how good those pans were. The other a Gotham Steel Copper set from 2018, not so good. I felt it was time for a unified looking set and I had just watched America's Test Kitchen review cookware. They're top pick for non-stick was the Green Pan Valencia series. Consumer Reports rated them very highly as well. I had a simple set of Green Pans shortly after they came out on the market in 2013 in the second home we had. Our youngest son has them now, so I was already familiar with the brand. It was the Gotham Stell ones that replaced those pans. But as I noted, they weren't as good as the Green Pans or The Emeril set. So, when Amazon had a sale on the Green Pans, I pulled the trigger. We've had the pans now for a couple of weeks and followed the pre-use instructions. First, they got a light wash. Then, on their first use they were heated on a medium heat for a minute or two before any oil was added. By adding oil, I mean a tablespoon or less. To date they have been wipe out clean after frying. Just like on TV. They are very substantive in the hands, but not heavy. They heat evenly and there is no noted running of liquids or oils to one side or the other showing the pans are flat. They are rated for all types of cooking surfaces, but we have electric and have noted the setting of the stove is a little lower on all burners, indicative of a good thorough heating material. I hope to get a couple of decades out of this set. But I do note, my wife kept a couple of the small 8 inch Emeril pans for eggs. ... show more
