Decent hose, easy to unravel, and very easy to move around, however it leaks very bad when I connect it to my water, don't have a problem like this with other hoses, only this one. Sucks because this is actually a great hose overall.

The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 of these 100ft hoses to replace my 5 yr old contractor hoses from the home improvement store. These were twice as expensive and based on marketing and reviews I thought these would be an upgrade worth spending more money on. I was wrong. The good first. -Nice bright color -White line to help see twists -Acceptable weight -The hose doesn't have that stiff hard plastic feel. -It doesn't mark up anything it runs across. -Customer service was easy to deal with. Onto the bad First, the box. Before even getting to the hose I had concern. The box lists "Not designed for use with hot water" but surprisingly also gives a temperature range of -4F - 140F. I guess I shouldn't be surprised because the box also gives a length of 100' and 10FT. The next caution is "Not designed for drink safe". Well. Sure wish I knew that when I bought it. Sure wish I noticed it sooner than just now too. My entire family has drank from this hose. As soon as I saw, I talked to everyone. Fortunately, nobody said they tasted cancer so I think we might be okay. Also listed under caution is "Do not leave hose under pressure while unattended". That one really tells me a lot, you interpret it how you like. I have 75 to 85psi water pressure. This hose is listed as holding 200psi. No. Just no, absolutely not. Do not try to test that. When turning on the water I can see why they say not to leave it unattended under pressure. It swells a lot pressurized and varies depending on temperature. At 70 degrees it swells about 1/16". When it's hot it looks like a tumor against the fittings. I'm not sure that's how it's designed... one thing I'm sure of, they didn't design it to make snapping noises that sound like the internal weave is breaking when it bends while under pressure. I work pretty extensively with hydraulics, pneumatics, and extreme pressure water systems. Personally, I wouldn't put this in my shop on anything higher than 50psi and feel confident about it. The handle for the fitting is only good for preventing stress on the fitting. The fittings have really short thread and are aluminum. Unless you're hooking this up to other aluminum fittings (99.9% you're not) they're going to corrode. Aluminum is reactive with many other metals and will corrode when in contact for prolonged periods. How fast can vary depending on many variables. Look into galvanic corrosion if you're interested. Of 4 fittings 3 had some corrosion already, one of those was getting bad and was hard to unscrew. I've had these for almost 2 months, watering every other day about 15 min each time. Always had pressure when spooling and unspooling the hose, relieved pressure after I was done. The hose swells a lot when I open the spigot and as soon as I release the flow, the hose shrinks back down and the water pressure quickly drops. Again, worse in warmer weather. It kinks. It's not horrible at first, but it does do it. It happens even more once all the internal weave has broken. There is a benefit, once they all break, the hose gains memory. It's harder to roll up straight, so you end up saying f' it and just roll it however. Saves you a handful of seconds each time. Less than a week after the return window closed, one of the hoses blew out in two different places. Oh no! Who would have ever seen this coming? I sent a message to Greener with my issues and concerns that I've listed here. I expressed my worry about the 2nd hose as well. I received response within 2 days. I was offered a replacement hose at no cost, which is fair, and the minimum I would expect from any business. No comments were made regarding other issues or the other hose. Sent them my address July 17th, I had to send another message July 29th requesting update, Greener replied back July 31st stating it was already shipped. I finally received it August 7th, it had a ship date of August 6th. The replacement is the same hose, no discernable difference unboxing it. The male fitting's thread was very poorly machined and would not screw on by hand. It felt crossthreaded but the threads ended up being cut too wide. Since it's aluminum I was able to correct the thread using a high quality brass female fitting. I would have sent the hose back instead of making it work myself, but who knows what problem the next one would come with. I am very skeptical these will last more than a year. I actually hope it fails sooner so I can justify buying another hose. Not being reminded of my mistake every time I'm in my backyard would be a welcomed improvement too. I regret my purchase and regret not returning them while in the return window. I wouldn't recommend this hose. It's a cheap version of the popular neon green ones, and a glorified aquarium hose at best. UPDATE: 26 AUG 23. My replacement hose failed already and is leaking from the fitting. See the video. I want my 1 star back. DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE.
