    • It seems obvious...Company's advise when there's wind, but...

When I wrote the company to ask how this umbrella does in the wind, their response was to "take it down when you're not using it." If you live in an area that gets periodic surprise wind gusts of over 20 mph, that's great advice. What's more important, I think, is that it can't be open under a table and chairs on a windy day because the pivot point of the umbrella will swing on its mount in a way that could interfere with those sitting at a table underneath the umbrella. Of course, putting sand and water in the base as instructed (they say over 265 lbs) will help to stabilize the pole and its base, and can prevent the whole rig from flying away in the wind if left open accidentally, but even with the prescribed weight in the base, the cardinal rule for this umbrella should be "Don't leave it up when not using it." It's a very nice-looking umbrella made of sturdy materials and assembled OK and the staff was quick to response to my question "Has this umbrella been tested for maximum wind speed?" Answer: Take it down when not using it." ... show more

    • Good Product, but NO FREE SHIPPING ON RETURNS.

First, I want to make clear that this is a good product. The canopy is of good quality and design and doesn't look like it will fade any sooner than expected (they're all going to fade in the sun sooner or later). The hardware is sturdy, as light weight as possible without loosing balance, and I love that it has wheels on its base. I think it is a quality product, well designed and made by a company who takes pride in their work. That being said, make SURE you want the product because there is NO FREE SHIPPING ON RETURNS. The 10x13 canopy we ordered is literally humongous. In a pool setting or outdoor open dining area in need of some shade, this size is ideal....but it wasn't for us. I quickly saw that it was too large for my family's use, and would've wanted something a little smaller and round or square in shape. The company is quick to stand by its product and process quick refunds (I was impressed), but it is dependent upon them receiving their product back within 30 days....which is easier said than done. You have to pay to ship the 2 big boxes it came in back to CHINA which is not cheap (from other posts). I have not taken the boxes to see for myself how much it would cost to ship, but from other posts, it seems it would be at least $100.00. We are just going to have a big ass canopy covering us while we enjoy an outdoor dinner. Again, very good product. No complaints on quality. 10x13 is freaking huge. If you made a mistke, there is NO FREE SHIPPING ON RETURNS. Hope this was helpful. ... show more

    • This is a high quality, well-designed umbrella
I've assembled several umbrellas over the years but this one was a breeze. Very well engineered. It's a pain to get the sand and the water in the base but that is not unusual. I scooped in 2, 50lb bags of sand on each side first then topped of the remaining space with water, which is described in the instructions (sand and water mix to equal or exceed 246lbs.). The molding deign of the plastic base is ingenious and unique. A great feature is it includes wheels to facilitate repositioning of the assembled unit. This is a well-thought-out feature and very useful. Be advised that the cross bar mounts for the base, which includes the wheels and axle are in the umbrella box, not the base box. The umbrella and the base ship separately. I have the 12 ft. version and it has very nice coverage in a compact, attractive profile. I highly recommend this unit. You will need a helper to pick up the assembled umbrella to slide it onto the post attached to the base, because it is heavy and awkward to maneuver. (at least for a 71-year old) But that will only take a few seconds to line up and secure. A great product with responsive customer service. ... show more

    • A couple things to be aware of
Size: 10X10 FT-SUNBRELLA Color: Canvas Aruba-Square
The umbrella and base went together fairly easily except for the base caps. Either there is a manufacturing flaw or the base changes shape with water/sand in it. After screwing around with them for some time, I got them mostly down but it's hard to tell if they are cross threaded. I used a channellock to turn them once I thought they were lined up. Someone mentioned spraying WD-40 on the threads, I might try that. It would also be nice to know how many gallons the base holds so I could calculate weight. I need to empty this base before the snow falls, so I filled it just with water and then threw a couple 50 lb bags of sand on top. This isn't the most expensive umbrella, so my hope is it lasts at least 5 years with the wind and sun we get. ... show more

    • No Replacement Parts - UPDATE
Bought this in July 2021. Bought the bigger base. Filled it. Bought sand bags to weigh it down. Within 2 years, the string breaks. You cannot replace the string and the end piece that holds the string. Now, its trash. "Warranty" is 1 year, no or limited parts even available Do not buy if you live in a sunny state and need to use it daily. WAY over priced for no ability to even replace/repair UPDATE: Initially, they did not offer any replacement parts, only a small refund (useless). A day later they reached out and offered to replace the malfunctioning equipment. I greatly appreciate their change of mind and doing the right thing. I would suggest modifying their umbrella to make the cord piece replaceable as it may be a common issue down the road ... show more

The word ‘offset’ makes me tingle. It’s so cool. Think offset spatula. Thank you, whoever had the idea of an offset umbrella to give me back my way-too-sunny courtyard and firepit. Thank you, Napoli, for designing such a quality piece of gear. I am a 65 year old single female, and I assembled it myself. As a professor of communications (call me Professor Barbie), I squawk HARD at poor instructions. These were brilliant, since they were word-less. Chef’s kiss! I am a sun-hater. I crave shade like an addict craves their fix. I told my big strong Ken of a neighbor, who helped me fine-tune the positioning, thanks for throwing shade on me. Mwaa! ... show more
