I did the urban mauve. have never done a box dye before by myself but I’m glad I did. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but I followed the instructions. My hair felt so soft after I did the last conditioner treatment. It took the color really well. It’s a mushroom mauve color when you start with hair as blonde as mine. Girl on the box has brown hair, mine comes out PURPLE. But I love it. Best oops ever. I was my hair 4-5 times a week and by the 2nd week the color is all gone. But I still enjoy it and with only 2 weeks, i have the option to change it up sooner.

pretty, but it dried a lot lighter and more purple than "dusty". box seemed to advertise light brown with a bit of reddish purple, what i got was only purple no brown. im a man looking for some subtle color, this is not it. however, it was easy to apply, quick to use, and smelled nice so if you want purple hair you'll love it ... show more

Used over the silver I had previously dyed the other day (used this box for highlights and it turned out amazing! Will buy this product again. When using this product make sure you lighten your hair to a light blonde or platinum blonde. use purple shampoo and conditioner to keep up with color and help with the brassiness color. I see a lot of reviews that it didn't work. Stay out of the light. When I dyed it both times I dimmed my lights, and make sure you dont have bobby pins, metal hairbrush, or a lot of metal near where you will be dying it or the color will transfer. My hair was a dark/medium blonde with my natural light brown roots growing in before coloring. Please don't freak out when mixing the color and developer (it looks like a pinkish orange when mixed) the dye gradually changed to a purple color while sitting on my head. When showering my hair was washing out a similar purple color. After getting out of the shower, my hair looked like a medium ashy brown color with some purple undertones. After letting my hair dry my hair is a beautiful lighter brown/dark blonde color with silver undertones. (Basically a dark mushroom blonde/ light mushroom brown color) It's not exactly as the box advertised but it's still a very beautiful color. I would absolutely use this again. ... show more
