Items arrived in a cheesy shipping envelope and 2 boxes were smashed. Luckily the contents were still usable. The dye is super thick and impossible to apply. And that's using both aftercare packets of conditioner. I don't recommend this product because it's way overpriced and isn't a quality product. It does come with a mixing container, gloves, and a application brush, in addition to 2 aftercare conditioner packets. Unfortunately, even if you use both packets to thin the dye, which is WAY TOO THICK, you'll have nothing for aftercare. The color never will match the picture. I went with purple and wanted the vibrant. I love the color. This was a thicker color compared to other hair dyes and I'm sure it would be easier to spread if I diluted it. It would have been helpful to know that this product is sized for short hair. I have below-the-shoulder length hair. Because I wanted the pastel color, I premixed the color/conditioner per directions. The quantity was vey small - no way would it begin to cover my hair. So I used the second conditioner and mixed that also. It's all I had; I used it all. My hair is gray/white, and on the thin side, but this was nowhere near enough to cover well. My hair turned out the perfect color (Yay!!) but was somewhat streaky because there was not enough to cover it. I am left with nearly a full tube of color and no conditioner to mix it with. I left the mixture on for about 4 minutes and that was definitely sufficient for a nice pastel purple. I wish I had known that the amount of mixture would be insufficient to completely cover, but now I know. I may keep the unused deep color tube and try mixing it with my regular conditioner. My hair does feel nice; doesn't seem to be harsh or damaging. ... show more

I used this to do pink highlights in my daughters hair. They lasted a couple of weeks before washing out. The color was great. There was no overwhelming smell, it was easy to apply and there was no burning or overly harsh chemicals. The media could not be loaded. Application: I am recovering from a slight injury, so my partner, who had never dyed anyone's hair ever helped me with the application. We used two boxes and left it in for 30 minutes. It was easy for us to figure out, and (I think) they even had fun! Outcome: My hair is medium to dark brown hair with the tiniest amount of gray. I used this over my natural color for a dark purplish/reddish hint. The color is noticeable but not bold (as if I had bleached it first). In the attached video, I have washed and conditioned it one time. Conclusion: I do not dye my hair regularly, but if I ever wanted this color again, I would absolutely buy this brand.
