I spent extra when buying a tarp to use as a roof covering for my chicken run. Last year I bought a no frills light weight tarp that did a good job. So I figured I’d upgrade with a Gorilla tarp. It felt solid when I opened it, but after a few weeks it has been leaking in multiple places. Straps are tough, if that matters to anyone. Didn’t find it heavier or thicker than non name brand alternatives. Save a couple dollars and go with a non name brand. ... show more

I ordered this tarp to cover a roof project I'll be working on but started using it to provide shade from the hot sun and am very happy with it. It is very well made and strong which is what I expect from a Gorilla product and the attachment points are holding up extremely well. I have other tarps but the eyelets just pull out whenever there is much tension put on them. This tarp worked like a champ and, being heavy duty, easily blocks out most of the sun providing a nice shaded workspace. The price is great and I would highly recommend this tarp. ... show more

Almost every tarp I've even owned came from a discount hardware store. They were thin, ripped or cracked apart easily, and barely held up, even as drop cloths. So this Gorilla Tarp is a substantial upgrade for me. It's extremely heavy-duty with strong grommets that don't rip out, reinforced edges that look super sturdy, and an overall quality look and feel.
