Bought this lawnmower because it was getting much too expensive to hire a gardener considering the property to be mowed is not large by any means. I decided I better mow the lawn myself like I used to do. This lawnmower appealed to me because of the light weight and the light price. I figured that with a bad back problem, I needed the lightest one I could find on the market. This one fit the bill. It is most easy to use and offers little resistance when mowing- whether pushing forward or pushing back in reverse. I set the wheels in the middle position of three for cutting length- (as someone else mentioned, the wheels have to be taken off and put back on to adjust the height- but it is not difficult to do this). I would recommend that you just set it at one height and leave it--- the middle is probably best. The only difficulty I had assembling it, was snapping the two piece plastic grass bag together. I would recommend that you snap one side entirely together before snapping together the other side. It will not snap together by lining both sides up and trying to push it all together. Other than that, I had no other problems with assembly. So far, I've used this mower three times and I would be happy even if it just makes it through one whole season. After all, it is most moderately priced and I would not expect it to work forever as you would expect a much heavier and much more expensive lawnmower. And it is a good choice if you have a bad back!!! I use a 100 foot cord --, 13Amp- 14 gauge-It is important to use the proper gauge, so be aware whichever lawn mower you purchase. I tried to look into buying replacement blades should I ever need them, but so far i can't find any place to buy them for this particular model...Again, even if the mower lasts just one whole season, I'm well ahead of the game financially--and I get a little exercise as well!. This is a great lawnmower that I would highly recommend ... and If any problem comes up in the near future with it, I will amend this review. UPDATE-April 27, 2020: - Just wanted to add to my review from last year that the lawnmower made it throughout the entire season without any problems. This mower is truly amazing. I just used it for the first time this year and it is still working fine. I did read some customer reviews that were negative, but my experience was completely positive. I do see that it has gone up in price from last year (currently $140.. which is $24 more than I paid last year), but I still think it is worth the price. I would even consider buying another one in the future-especially if the price should drop substantially near the end of the season as I noticed it did last year. 2nd UPDATE: May 27, 2022. I just started using this same mower for what is its 4th season. I've used it 2 times already this season and...No problems. Through the years, the wheels may have to be tightened and once or twice one came off, but it's so easy to simply just screw it back on. I recently bought a back-up mower (the very same one) a month ago when I saw it was priced at $100-couldn't resist that price. I turned it on briefly after assembling it and it seems to be fine, but I don't have to use it yet because the older one is still working great! ... show more

The box is so light that I thought it was a toy for a while. It was easy to install and only took ten minutes. I like the design that it can be adjusted in height. There are three height levels u can chose but you have to remove each wheel and reinstall at a different level . The effect of using is also very smooth, much more affordable than spending money to hire someone. My last lawn mower was rechargeable, and it took less than an hour to fully charge the two batteries. It turns out that it is easy to use directly plugged in. Light and easy to use! The cord sucks, but I bought a corded lawnmower, so that's on me. It's cheap and feels cheap, but it gets the job done. It bogs down easily but it is a really cheap electric push mower. You get what you pay for. This is super cheap, but it's not trash! Bought the 1st one from a competitor site for $99; it lasted 2.5 years; the motor seized. 50% price increase on this one, the second one, same $ increase reflected on the competitor's site too. Amazon had faster & free shipping. Why did I buy it again? It's a very very small yard, ~45'L x 15'W - and no room to store gas for a conventional mower. Got 60-cuts out of the 1st one. The local lawn guy gets $13/cut. So $13 x 60 = $780 - $150 for the new mower = $630 saved every 2.5-years. YOU MUST MAINTAIN IT AND NOT GET IT WET OR CUT WET GRASS. The top cover with the handle is held on with 4 screws. Remove it to clean the "sponge" air filters - they can be rinsed (jet sprayed) out with a garden hose and shaken dry. Dry dusty dirt patches kick up a lot of dust and will clog the filters as will clippings too. The motor has to "breathe" to cool - so clean the filters. DO NOT HOSE OUT THE BOTTOM TO CLEAN OUT CLUMPED GRASS. UNPLUG THE MOWER AND CLEAN IT BY HAND OR WITH A SCRAPER. Out of the box the blade is NOT sharp. Remove the blade (13mm socket) and take it to your local lawn mower repair shop to have it sharpened initially and each season there after. So 1-star b/c the motor seized, but it remained cost effective for this very very small yard. ... show more

I love this lawn mower! It's super light and it really does a good job, i have a pretty good sized lawn and at times it got pretty long but this thing just powered right through. The cord is kind of a pain at first but that's what I signed up for and you get used to it. This would get 10 stars from me if I could give them! Great product and I've had no problem with the wheels falling off. You're only supposed to go forward any way it's not a vacuum cleaner. My neighbors kinda laugh at me since it looks like a kids toy but it's quiet and very easy to lift. ... show more

I live in a 1 acre property; this Little Engine that Could is my emergency lawnmower when my REAL lawnmower breaks down. I used it about three times for the 5 weeks my mower was in the shop. I was surprised how well it managed to cut overgrown lawn. One of the wheels DID fall off, which is to be expected if you put it on rough terrain; I easily screwed it back on. It definitely feels like a toy but I can’t believe how well this works. It was simple to put together, the cord is easy to negotiate, it is lightweight so is easy to maneuver. It’s really easy to turn on. My yard is at a significant incline and that was no problem for the mower. Quiet enough that I feel comfortable mowing when the kid is playing because I can still hear her if she calls or cries. This made me not hate mowing the lawn. So glad I have it. ... show more
