  • Great rods, TERRIBLE PACKAGING FOR SHIPPING
Style: A: 12'-2pcs (Upgrades)
These are really great surf rods. I have purchased 8 of them from Amazon, the first six were shipped in boxes and bubble wrap. The last two simply came in thin rod bags and were damaged beyond repair. I returned the first one and they shipped the replacement the exact same way and it also was destroyed. Would love order again, but have a feeling they will continue to ship them without boxes….. ... show more

  • Best value surf rod.
Style: B: 13'-3pcs
I own couple of these rods and use them for crabbing from in-shore. These rods are great quality, light weight, and you can cast 8oz weights a mile with little effort. Fiblink also has great warranty and customer service. I recently broke a rod and reached out to Fiblink and they replaced the rod right away. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great out of the box - will update when used…
Style: C: 11'-4pcs
Update after using So far I’ve had these rods (11’ 4pc and 9’ 3pc) rigged for fishing in the surf (gulf of Mexico) for a few days. Im still rating them 4 stars - nothing has blown up yet even though Im slinging heavy rigs. The 9’ rod (MS903?) casts a double pompano rig with 2-3oz like a cannon. My biggest complaints for this rod - still the matte graphite finish and the fact that it has butt over tip ferrules. I don’t trust those on any rods - even more so with a medium heavy surf rod. The 11’ rod handled throwing a 6oz sinker and big chunk of whiting without a problem. My Penn Pursuit 8000 barely fit under the reel seat hoods. I’m not an experienced surf caster when using heavy rigs but I’ve managed over 100yds a few times. I did swap the chunk bait for a live whiting last night. Casting distance suffered with the extra weight and my inexperience. I have no doubt this rod will handle a small shark or large ray - hoping to post a photo reflecting that soon. Cheers! Great looking rod - will update after using it. I ordered two of these - 9’ 3pc and 11’ 4pc - last minute for an upcoming trip to the Gulf. The rods showed up fast and not broken - other reviews had me worried about that. I’d prefer a rod tube/case but at this price point I dont expect that. Upon opening the box, my initial impression is that these moon sniper rods are well setup and wrapped - epoxy is level and clear, thread wraps don’t have gaps, etc. I’d prefer one piece braid-proof guides like the Penn pursuit and ugly stick models but again - the price point is probably too low for premium accessories. My biggest worry is the overall durability of matte graphite blank. I grew up fishing Shakespeare alphas and ugly sticks. Those sticks were nearly bombproof. My luck with the new gx2 matte finish (no fiberglass coat over the graphite blank) hasn’t been good - I hope these Moonsnipers can withstand surf conditions, 4oz sinkers and the occasional bull red or stingray. All in all I give these rods 4/5 stars. I’ll update after a few hours spent fishing the surf. Tight lines! ... show more

  • First cast sadness - with a happy ending
Style: A: 10'-2pcs
First, The return window closed a week ago. We got to the Gulf today, hooked up a pompano rig and 2oz sinker. First cast, I thought some one threw a stick or something as what turned out to be the tip section of the rod followed the bait by a few feet. The pics show a clean break vs a punch or splinter. Assuming a material defect. Seemed like a nice rod for our purposes, can’t say it’s junk. If the seller wants send me another to show us it’s not junk, we certainly would give it a try. Edit 3/22/24- I decided to contact Amazon CS and ended up in chat with a live human. They listened, took time to look into the issue, told me if they seller wouldn’t address the issue, Amazon would. At that point they asked that I click on the seller’s link that CS provided and that they would hold the chat open til I confirmed contact. The email was a hotmail link that went nowhere. Upon hearing that, they told me they would start the return for me. Very happy with Amazon’s handling of this of course. I still can’t say all Fiblink rods are junk either. Any way, happy ending. ... show more

  • Stand behind warranty!
Style: B: 9'-3pcs
I had a minor issue with one of the rods and Fiblink stood behind it 100%. I'm very impressed. Honestly my favorite rod of 5. Confident cast every time. Light weight, durable, good responsiveness. Beats out Ugly Stik for me. Thanks.

  • A Clear Winner
Style: A: 10'-2pcs
Just as everyone else who bought this rod has said...its awesome. Great feel and great casting ability in a light, well-balanced blank makes this my go-to rod right now. A Fiblink 15 footer would be my ultimate surf rod but this one comes pretty close. Why spend any more than you need to for a high quality rod? Fiblink rocks. 2ND UPDATE: Had to replace the tip guide finally as the ceramic insert in it (I have the 12ft model) just disappeared on a cast one day. I put a high quality SIC guide on it ($8 on ebay) and it continues to be my favorite rod. Wonder if the new "Upgrades" 12ft version addresses that issue? Anyway I have caught a slew of fish large and small on this rod and its great feel and power continue to make it my premier surf rod recommendation. Add the Fin Nor Offshore 6500 reel to this rod and create the ultimate power surf rod. Still waiting for the 15ft model Fiblink... UPDATE: I have used the rod several times in the OC MD surf last week and it is amazing with larger fish. Had a giant 10ft (wingspan) ray hooked for 3hrs and the whole beach was gathered around me while pulling it in and this rod held up great to its unbelievable power. Next day a "small" 50lb ray came in after 25 min and again the rod held true (why do rays always want to walk you down the beach??). A few 3ft sharks later and I had to leave the shore but what a great trip. Bet I helped sell a dozen Fiblink rods as numerous people asked me about my rig. My reel is a Fin-Nor 5500 with 65lb Stren braid and it pairs up well with this rod. My only issue with this model would be that the rod handle area below the reel is real skinny and I am used to a thicker one so it feels a bit strange when casting but thats a minor thing really. Come on Fiblink...make me that 15 footer and I will be in surf fishing heaven! ... show more
