The color took very well in my hair and is very vibrant, was easy to blend too. It had a fruity smell and didn’t leave nearly as much stain as other vibrants usually do. Love it and will repurchase. (The blue I used in the pic was the same brand also from Amazon)

Pros first: the dye smells like lemons and it's very hydrating. It doesn't stain much. Cons: it lacks pigment pretty badly. I dyed my bangs and my front strands and it took half the tube to adequately saturate my hair. I let it sit the recommended time and the transfer was splotchy. I had some pink tint in my hair from a previous dye and it didn't take in this area at all. I legitimately prefer splat over this product. This is more like a colored hair mask than a true semi permanent dye. It might be good for a refresher for vivid but not the main thing. ... show more

Color was great. Followed directions to a T. Looked awesome as soon as I "washed" and dried it. I even waited 2 days before I washed it again. I hardly have any purple in my hair left. There's absolutely no way this is going to last 20+ washes. There's more purple on my towel than in my hair. Very disappointed as this was bought for a very special occasion What little was left it's mostly silver blue. However depending on how the light hits it you can see some purple. Put this directly on my undyed, ash brown hair with greys. It came out a lovely purple exactly as advertised but it's mostly washed out after a month, faster than some other brands. The greys are lavender, not vibrant at all. I let it sit under a plastic hair cover for a few hours (I'm nuts, I know, but I've shaved my head before so I wasn't worried) and my hair was perfectly fine, a little shinier, too. i have lightbrown hair with a lot of grey in it. i don't like to bleach my hair before dyeing, and there's very few dyes that will actually have any effect (even on the light hairs) if you don't lighten / slightly damage your entire head of hair first. i'm always nervous about irritation with something that strong, so i avoid doing it. the only ones that have worked for me the way i prefer to dye, are henna and this brand!! it didn't color my hair shocking purple like the label (they do specify that brown hair will just darken when you add colors to it, of course), but it's definitely purple ENOUGH to be the Something Different that i was craving. i wasn't even allergic to the smells, which i expected to be. overall i would say i didn't find any negatives to say about this dye!! ... show more
