I got this dye to keep my hair pink between appts with my hair stylist because there was a large gap between appts and I am super pleased with how the color came out. It was very vibrant pink, and I had some previous blue/purple tones on my ends so the pink overlayed made it a really pretty purple color. It has been at least 2 months since I dyed my hair originally (and at that time it was a very very faint pink color because the color had faded most of the way out of my hair) and while it has faded quite a bit around the darker areas of my hair where my roots are, the color is still beautiful and I am not unhappy about how it looks right now. It has actually lasted much longer than the dye my hair stylist was using which shocked me. When getting my hair colored by my hair stylist I was very careful to only wash with cold water, but since this dye is cheaper than a hair appt I have not been as careful and have washed my hair with a mix of cold and warm water at different times but that has not really shown to make a huge difference on fading. I'm super pleased to have found something with that much staying power so I can space my touchups out a bit and save some money while still having cute colored hair 🩷 ... show more

I've had platinum hair done by a quality professional for well over a year now, and after using Wella T14 toner to really get it to a nice solid white base with a silver hue, I really wanted to try the shade Gravedigger for a nice silver/gray. Both pictures in the collage were taken at the same time, one with direct light and one without and I've come to the conclusion that the silver really only shows in the shadows, otherwise my hair still just looks white still 🤷♀️ I really wanted this dye to pull through since most silver/gray dyes I've used I the past have strong blue undertones. My best friend used the orange shade and it washed out in basically a single wash, and I figured since I'm not using a super vivid color, a nice cold shower wouldn't wash it out that bad...but it did, I was back to white again after one wash and reapplied the dye for a second time (which is when I took these pictures.) In the example photos it shows the shade much darker and vibrant, and I'm definitely light enough for it to take, so generally might just have to take the loss on this one and rock the white hair until I can find a quality silver. ... show more

I've been using this dye for a few years now. I've never tried anything else, so I really have nothing to compare it to in terms of what lasts longer and what has the best color. I have darker brown hair half way down my back. The lightener kit helps out a lot to make the color more vivid, use that every other dye. Sister uses a bottle and a half of the dye on me. This dye has a couple different batches. One of them is a darker purple, which fades into a blue color with each wash. Another one (the newer batch) is more of a brighter pinkish purple, which fades to a more pinker hair... So really, it's only purple for as long as you can withstand not washing your hair. Maybe still a bit purple after the first couple washes. Honestly thought, I kind of like the fading and sporadic color spreadout when I do wash...it's pretty neat, I dunno if it's just me or what but I've been told it's mermaidish? My Sister says she doesn't know why it happens like that. I dunno how easy this is so use, I probably couldn't do it myself, but I guess I could learn, it would probably be a total MESS though...My Sister dyes my hair for me, and it's a pretty painful experience, so I probably should learn to do it myself...but like I said, trying to get all that dye dispersed throughout all my hair and then washing it out in the sink would probably be a messy disaster for me to take on by myself, no way you want to do that in the shower, it's gonna stain... So anyways I like it...it's kind of a pricey thing to get into, but I've been having my hair dyed with it every couple months for the past 2 years. Once you start you don't wanna stop. ... show more

I used Grave Digger I Love everything about it. I’m growing my grey and even with professional blending it still has a yellow tint to it. This is with one treatment! The other semi perma dyes and glazes did nothing and I don’t want to put any more chemicals in it. It even smells great!

We ordered the stoned pony hoping it would turn my blonde daughter’s hair light purple at the bottom and darker at the top- her hair is naturally lighter at the bottom and a bit darker at top. Left it on for an hour. It turned a very cute light pink, but not the color she wanted. Then it completely washed out the third day. No trace of color at all lol. She’s under 10, so I wasn’t too upset and she got over it, but was a bit disappointed in product. Have used this before in different color and it worked- it was supposed to be a bright pink that turned almost red and washed out quickly as well. It’s fun for kids- possibly only works on bleached hair? Idk, but for $20 it’s a fun ‘what color will this be’ surprise. 🤣 ... show more
