  • Here is How to Fix the Low Flame/Low Temp That is Mentioned
I have had this for 27 months and over the last month or so, the flame has gotten lower as others have mentioned. Mine stays outside and is always connected to the gas line and I live 100' from the ocean, so salt water moisture is an issue and the exterior has a lot of rust spots-even though it is stainless steel. The problem with the low flame is that the gas jet orifice has become partially clogged. More than likely, this is from the steel gas manifold. Fortunately, this is an easy fix, and takes about 2 beers. 1. Remove the gas tank line and latch the top. 2. Turn the stove on its back and look at the bottom. Follow the gas line pipe you just connected to the two gas valves. Remove the two screws on each gas valve that has a clamping ring on it. This will allow you to remove the gas line manifold. Do not lose these 6 parts (4 screws, 2 clamps) 3. My gas valves could not be removed without removing the burners. Set the grill upright and remove the grates and burner plates. My burners were bolted to the two support bracket and the screws were rusted, so I drill out the four screws. (You will need 4 new screws or pop rivets.) Remove the burners, clean off any debris and take a small wire and unclog any holes in the burner. Shop vac this clear. 4. From the front, pop off the plastic dial knob. Unscrew/loosen the two bolts on the front holding the gas valve to the grille. The valve should fall loose. 5. Both valves were the same, but as they butt up against the gas manifold with a rubber gasket, I kept them left and right so they go back in the same place with the same gasket. 5. Take some very thin wire (single strand picture wire is perfect) and stick it in the bronze tip orifice. Rotate it around and then back and forth. Only push the wire in until you feel it stop. I opened the valve to the third points and shop vacc'ed the orifice and the gas inlet side. I did this twice for each valve. Assembly is the exact opposite of the above. But a word of CAUTION. When reinstalling the gas manifold pipe, you have to be absolutely sure the gasket part of the gas valve fits inside the manifold. Otherwise gas can leak out and you will have a small fire under the grill. I found the best way to do this was to leave the gas valves loose via the front screws and then install the 2 screws and pipe clamp. The metal for the gas valve is not strong, so be sure not to strip the screws out when installing the clamp screws. Reconnect the gas line to the grill. Turn off the burner valves. Turn on the tank and sniff for leaks. If you smell gas, spray some soapy water on the manifold and gas valve connection. Got bubbles? You didn't get the valve and manifold seated properly. No smell? Awesome. Turn on the grill and check for the burner flame and then look under the grill any any flames from the manifold one more time. Fire up those steaks and grab another cold one, McGyver! BTW- there are identical looking grilles listed on Amazon that go by other names. This will work for them as well. ... show more

  • Decent little grill for the $$
ADDED TODAY 4/22/21 The burners are on their way out, need replacement. I haven't been able to locate replacement burners for this grill. It is/was a great little grill and lasted almost two years. So, it's time to replace this grill, won't be with another Giantex. I'll do some digging and find a small grill that has parts availability. Maybe a Webber Q series. Not crazy about spending that much $$ for small grill but at least parts are available for Webbers so probably less costly in the long run? EDIT;; My original review with 4 stars is below. I still think this grill is a good bang for the buck. But the lack of customer service info or a phone number is a huge negative. What if parts are needed... no way to order them? If that's the case, and it seems it is, this will be my last purchase from Giantex. End of minor rant... I just took delivery of my grill & put things together (3-4 minute job, if that). I then cleaned off the very light coating of packing fluid/oil on the top and sides with Windex, then fired it up. It reached over 600* really fast, much much faster than my big old Broil King that it will be replacing. There are not allot of parts to this grill. It's simple and straight forward. And I'm sure it will cook burgers as well as any other grill. I let it burn on high for about 15 or so minutes to burn off any stuff left behind from the manufacturing and or shipping processes. Just an FYI... all SS is NOT created equal. On my new to me Giantex Tabletop grill most all outer and inner SS parts are magnetic. However the burners and grate are non-magnetic, so I think they are likely to be a better grade of SS and less likely to corrode than the rest of the grill. Time will tell. One reviewer here said the grate on his Giantex is aluminum. Not so on mine. The grate is SS, and a decent quality stainless to boot. Anyways, 1st big test will be tonight at dinner time (o: ... show more

  • Awesome BBQ but not so Portable
What a great value this BBQ is. It's beautiful and an amazing price compared to all others we shopped. The quality is excellent. I have nothing bad to say about the product or the seller. My issue was that we bought what we thought was a PORTABLE BBQ for our new travel trailer. This is not so portable. It's almost a full sized BBQ without the legs and side tables that come on a free-standing BBQ. Plus you have to use a full-sized Propane tank, so this not so Portable BBQ plus the full sized propane tanks take up a lot of room and they aren't so portable. Alas, because it is a beautiful BBQ. I think this is an awesome BBQ that you could set up on a table top in a more permanent setting that you don't have to move all the time, while still having the portability if you wanted it. As something you'd want to put in your RV or trailer plus the big tank, it's something to consider if you don't have lots of space in your RV. The seller was fast, the product is by far the best of any we looked at in this price range and other brands that cost a lot more did not compare to this product. Excellent quality and great looking. We never got to use it. We only unpacked it and then realized it was far to big for our needs. If I had one thing I'd recommend to the manufacturer it would be to add a handle on each side so it's easier to lift. At this point you either lift if from the bottom (like a box) or two finger holes on the side (which isn't adequate). It needs handles. Thank you ... show more

  • Descent Quality Except for Legs
Descent quality but legs are not good. They're attached to body with three small rivets, thus quite unstable. Both back legs terrible. May have to re-engineer/reattach using other hardware. For price, not thrilled. Update: Rivets on legs loose thus leak juices/fat/grease. Awaiting delivery of high temp RTV to seal all bottom penetrations. Also, awaiting hardware (1 1/4" washers, nuts, bolts) to make legs more solid. See original complaint. ... show more
