Got this for up nth. I’m 50 and it’s getting harder to swing an ax. This works perfect. Plus the kids can do it and they love it so maybe that’ll be their job. Great quality very sturdy once screwed dwn. We screwed it dwn to a stump.

I’m 57 and not real strong. The wood I have was freshly cut down from a neighbor’s trees, not small in diameter either. Small sledgehammer was all it took! Worthy of the price!

When I took it out of the box, I was impressed with how beautiful it was. Once I put it to use, I found it very useful. It took me an hour to chop wood and it was so easy. I am amazed that a large pile of wood can be completed in such a short time

This might be a good product for smaller diameter wood. Much of mine is 8+ inches. Even though I'm not particularly accurate swing a maul (or an axe), I can split wood more efficiently doing that.

Best description of the product is - require afford. It is easy to assemble. Feels very sturdy and heavy enough. It does not split wood easily. Season dry wood does not go through it. My hand wood slitter did a better job than this product with sledge hammer. I give it 2 stars for 1: integrity, 2: pointy edge at the tip allowing you the easy mount of the log.
