I had an older version of this that had lost it's "oomph". I had bought another paddle (different brand) that I didn't like so I figured I would try this again. What a difference between the paddle I bought and this one. This paddle is great for me. Good control and placement.

    • Long-handle paddle with comfort
I've been looking for a paddle with a longer grip than the standard paddles and this paddle fit the bill. In addition, it is a nice weight "for me" and the surface is large/adequate. Some of the paddles I've tried have an elongated shape which reduces the area in which you can hit the ball. Not this paddle. I don't think this paddle automatically made me a better player as that has to do with the player. But it certainly will help me in attaining that goal. Price is a comfort zone that is different for everybody. The price of this paddle was OK for me. If I lost it or someone stole it, I'd buy the same paddle again. ... show more

    • Finally a worthy replacement for my Engage Blade
After 4 years with a paddle ( I had 4 and 2 broke) I tried the latest from Engage and was utterly disappointed. So I kept playing with paddles that were past their life span, I used the Gearbox trial program and found these ( I also bought the lighter one) and ordered 3 of them! I am a 4.5 plus player ( I like to say I can beat 5.0's and lose to 3.0's on the same day) but have won Gold in several 4.5 tournaments. I only mention this for reference as while this does not generate the power my Blade did it is more precise and I can still get some fire on the ball. ... show more

    • Too heavy for me
Liked the added length in the paddle but not in the handle. Handle is too long for me so I have to hold farther up on neck. Lighter weight would have been better for me (5.2 female) weight is creating an ache in elbow.

I like it. I’m used to using wider shorter paddle so am getting used to longer narrower. The touch is better at the net for those dink shots than previous paddles. Much quieter sound when hitting ball than I was used to. I like the weight too

This paddle is heavier than others I’ve used but it’s great for handling shots banged at you. At the same time, it has decent touch for soft shots. I really like the way this paddle feels. Recommend.

    • Get gear that works!!!!
I Love this paddle. The weight is perfectly balanced and it is perfect for someone who has a strong swing. The added weight slows down your swing and shots are no longer too long. Also, the added weight helped my net game. Playing with superior equipment makes a difference.
