Great for beginners!!!!! I received mine today and have never used a detector before, read directions (skimmed). Watched a YouTube video and went in backyard to try. Wife found 2 pieces of aluminum while I was still setting up the pin pointer. Found 10 penny’s buried about 6-8 inches, a big metal hook, an old bottle cap and a nail that was buried ~9 inches in first half hour. This thing is awesome. A lot of fun. Can’t wait to really dig into settings and learn to use it properly. ... show more

Went four times in my back yard with my $90 detector found one quarter, one dime two pennies. Went with this detector and found three quarters, four dimes six pennies going once. Better quality

    • Great for the beginner or intermediate user
Easy to learn on. This is my first metal detector I found numerouse coins on my first outing. Its light weight makes it comfortable for a long period of time. I live in gold country in N California so my next test will be the water proof coil in streams looking for gold nuggets.

I bought this as a backup for my ACE 350 and for my grandson to also use. I like the number readout and the discrimination. I have found more coins and several tokens with this detector. I am still getting use to the numebers and sounds. The coil protector is annoying because it collects a lot of debris on the top and inside which requires cleaning out while hunting I have dug a lot of pull tabs but then they are treasure to a friend. She saves them for her grandchildren's school. All and all This was a very good buy. Garrett does make quality detectors at a decent price for all types of hunters. ... show more

In the product description it says it includes a carry bag, which for this set cost an extra $40. The product itself is fine and works as expected but the bag was not included. In following the refund process for Amazon, I was advised to reach out to the seller for resolution. I contacted the seller as instructed and the seller told me that Amazon is not an official seller for their products and should not be advertising that a bag is included because when it is shipped from their location there is no bag. She advised this a ploy to get people to order this set at more money so buyer beware. Next time we will go straight to the source.
