The Olia line is AMAZING at keeping my hair soft. There is a little drying out, but this is honestly the best dye product I have ever used (been coloring my hair at home on and off for ~20 years). The other line that Garnier does is NOT this moisturizing. Go with Olia. This one is for keeps. As for color, you will always have a warmer shade if you attempt to lighten without bleach + tone. I only get one level higher than my natural color, which is a 7. I wouldn't use box dye higher than an 8. This gives me a REALLY nice strawberry blonde color that I love.

I got the rose quartz color. You can see from my photos that it really is a pretty pink color. I included a before photo to help show the difference. The product recommends being left on for 30mins, when I put it on my hair it turned it such a pink that made me really scared. So I only left it on for 5 minutes, I started on my under-layer and worked to the top giving a subtle ombre effect. If you are interested in this product I would just take the jump and buy it. You get two boxes to play around with so that you can make it brighter or more subtle.

The color is vibrant just as advertised on the box. It is easy to apply. But it is not permanent; it fades in a few weeks. The first picture with my son is about 1.5-2 weeks after I colored my hair. The second picture is 1.5-2 months after. It has faded to an orangey, strawberry blonde color. My natural color is ash blonde, so it doesn't look the best with my roots.

I just switched to this product Olia after using a product made by the same exact company L’Oréal. I called the main office. I was a redhead, and none of the dyes offered consistent coverage without having a lighter crown. Reds are difficult.. fading.. uneven colors, so I switched to dark brown. 4.0. This was my original natural color. I should have done this years and years ago There’s no comparison, no ammonia smell, it’s oil based, complete covered, looks so much better… I will Never use a pyrite ammonia again. My hair looks like hair, not dried or frizzy.

I had a pink red color on my hair. I’ve done a version of red or pink or plum for years. This was orange in the bottle, orange in my head, orange on my hair, orange when I rinsed, et. I used heat, then rinsed with cold and vinegar, put supplies conditioner on, dried hair, and didn’t let it get wet for two days! Washed with cold water on 3rd day and very very little bleed. In fact, this product had the least bleed. I’ve used Splat, Olia violet, swarkopf violet, etc. I’m not sure why it’s so orange rather than intense red. I have A second box and intend to use it again to see if possibly I just got a bad box or something. I don’t hate the orange but the the hope was to stop using splat midnight ruby bc it bleeds all the time everyday —in Texas heat you do not want to walk across the parking lot and have your hair dye running down your face.
