If you follow the directions, like don't use any product in your hair (I let mine get like I had been at the beach all day) x 2 days with no shampoo/conditioner. It can be hard to get the conditioner out of the bottle, but a little goes a long way, so what I did is used half and half. Half in my hair the first time, added water to the second half for a few days down the line. First time after coloring, don't use shampoo, just let it get rinse out, then use the conditioner it comes with. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled to leave one for this product. I normally use the Garnier that comes in a green box. I think it's green anyway. Anyway, it has a terrible ammonia smell that I hate. This dye does is ammonia free and left my hair feeling nice and soft afterwards. The color itself is okay. It looks kinda purple? I normally do an R6 but wanted something darker. My main complaint directly after using the dye & the conditioner, was that my hair still felt greasy even after I rinsed it well. My last cut and color was $150.
