I like this size GPS. My former exact model got a cracked screen and was no longer working properly. Fortunately this older model was still available. I plugged it into my computer brought up the Garmin website and it updated the system. I loaded my back up files of saved places. It works as well as the previous GPS. Garmin maps have something to be desired, I wish they were more like a google map and the screen as reactive as my phone. But for long distances, this works well.

Important! Two things the manufacturer doesn't tell you is that: 1. The device must be fully charged before you update the maps. By full, they mean full. 2. When you update the maps, you should not interrupt the process as your Garmin device is likely to crash and become useless. Also the map update will take around six or eight hours, and that's with using a high speed Internet connection. The Garmin server is very slow, and Garmin doesn't care. I have no sense of direction, something I inherited from my mother's side of the family. I bought a Garmin Navigator many years ago and never looked back. When my antique finally bit the big one, I bought a replacement. Garmin has seen fit to improve the user interface. In some cases this was a great idea, and in others - not so much. There's a definite learning curve, and it's steep. The designers have tried to squeeze too many icons onto a small screen, which shouldn't surprise anyone, but which was a bad idea. Additionally, there is no quick-fun-and-easy way to tell the Garmin device that you've just discovered the road ahead is closed, and you need a detour. Likewise, the map has errors in it. Very few, but the errors are there, and there's no easy way to inform the device that your real destination is three blocks west of where Garmin thinks it is. Otherwise, it's a good system.

I.m very disappointed that this unit did not include a A.C. battery re charger, which I had to purchase separately. When the weather gets cold (and it will) you don't expect me to re charge this with a car battery?. I don't know how this works in Canada. Also, when I entered my home address, the unit said 2 minutes, I did this in my living room. C'mon Garmin, YOU"RE BETTER THAN THIS!!. Heads up. I wish a response. Long story short, I purchased this product on reputation. Did I make a mistake?, do tell.

Guiding line thin and faint. Enlarged it with the plus sign but it reverted eñ route. Touch screen extremely sensitive. Even using a soft tip stylus the device would bring up a screen adjacent to the one touched. Verbal directions very clear and accurate.

You just cannot go wrong with this Garmin. It took a little while to get here but was worth the wait. Nice big screen, easy to use right out of the box and can be handheld and stored in the glovebox when not in use. It does not lose signal, since it's on Sat. So if a phone hits a dead zone, this works anywhere. It's already gotten us out when we were completely lost and the phone had no signal. It takes 1 min to pull out of the glove box and hit the home button. It's easy to follow, easy to set and easy to turn off when you need peace and quiet. Perfect for when we need it, gone when we don't. It's a keeper!

Ok so let’s just say me and my mom have no sense of Direction what so ever. With out this we would be lost literally and it give us more confidence to get where we need to go. With that the accuracy of this gps so far has been right. As long as you keep it (UPDATED). Me and my mom love the size of the screen. The touchscreen is a bit clunky i’ve noticed I’ve had to hit buttons repeatedly for them to open or close certain things but other than that it is manageable. Overall good GPS and would recommend it
