The fitting leaks. I used the tape that comes with the hoses and tried different washers. Both of the extensions malfunction in the same way.

My water system in the motor coach needed a shorter hose connecting the filter assembly to the system's water inlet. I did some quick measuring and this 3' drinking water safe unit was likely to fit. Attaching to it to the outbound filter head and then to the inlet side of the water system was easy and it cleared up a large amount of space from the prior 15' hose I had coiled around the floor and fought with all the time. The stainless hose ends (says they're aluminum but don't feel or look like it) threaded on easily and the setup was complete. The anti-kink hose protectors also help keep the full flow through the 5/8" hose. No complaints here as it solved my problem and should be good for years as it won't be moved. Two thumbs up!
