    • a good value with a couple of caveats
We like this hose and recommend it. Here are some observations and thoughts that may be helpful to those looking for honest reviews... a) After reading several reviews that complained about length, I measured my hose in-situ and it measures right at 50 ft, as advertised. b) The female threads on the included plastic hand nozzle are slightly deeper than typical. It fits the hose it came with, but when used with a hose with slightly shorter male threads, the nozzle may bottom out on the fitting collar, leaving a small gap, thus creating a significant leak. This happened to me when I used the nozzle on another hose I had on hand. In that case, it can easily be resolved by adding a 2nd washer in the nozzle. The new hose came with a couple of spare washers, which was appreciated! c) I noticed the majority of negative reviews complain about kinks. I think this is a false negative... in my 60 years experience using garden hoses, any hose that's coiled for shipping or site storage will kink if carelessly unwound without rotating the body to avoid kinks. I find this hose easy to avoid kinks with minimal effort. But you can't expect a hose to not kink if you don't take care to rotate the body as it's uncoiled. d) As other reviewers noted, the 'bend restrictors' on each end are useless. First, the thin vinyl material is very flexible and thus has no ability to prevent the hose from bending. Second, there's nothing to prevent the restrictor from sliding away from the fitting. I deducted one point for that. As a side note, some other brands have heavier (stiffer) bend restrictors molded around the fitting itself that prevent bending behind the fitting. In addition, heavy-duty molded bend restrictors serve as a comfortable grip for hand-tightening the fittings. ... show more

    • Other hoses say they're lightweight, flexible and kink-proof, but they're not. This one is!
This hose is exactly what all the others claim to be. You can see the difference as soon as you break it out of its packaging. The others I've received get hopelessly tangled before you can even get them unpacked. They advertise they are lightweight, but they aren't, and this one really is. It feels sturdy and strong, but it's also flexible and easy to use, unlike the others I've tried. It requires no wrestling match to move it around. This one immediately became my favorite hose. (Yeah, us old guys have favorite hoses... and toilets too, just like Archie Bunker). Trust me, youngsters, when you get to be my age, you'll get picky and demanding too, and you'll have a favorite everything just like me.     • Flexible, sturdy, easy to move around in garden
We purchased this flexible garden hose cause the other ones from Amazon kept breaking after 2-3 months of use. We have a big garden and we use the hose every day for areas that we do not have our drip system covering. The other hoses we purchased would break after sitting in the sun. I know it’s not best to leave in the sun but my wife is too lazy to bring it back to the base. This flexible plastic hose is stronger, just as easy to use and so far it’s holding up in the weather and daily usage. This hose kinked up when I pulled it right out of the box and then each time I used it. Then I placed it all laid out to help it maybe, not kink. Then I moved the hose to another section, and what happened? Kinks, at least 3 of them. As the Kinks would sing "You Really Got Me", this hose got me all kinked up. Would not recommend it unless you are into doing twice the work to water your garden. Follow-up: The Kinks are still playing; however, the company was amazing in the follow-up with questions on how to make it better to a refund. They even offered to replace it! I took the refund, and I am working on unkinking the hose by leaving it out in the sun to help "soften" it (crazy experiment of course). This company cares and follow up with complaints, most companies will not do this. Thank you Garden Hose Company! ... show more
