I want to start off saying out of the box this hose works great. It's a plastic nozzle which is a crap shoot but I've had some last a long time (hoping this one does too). I always liked expandable hoses because they are easy to bring in/out of the garage but they typically have a short shelf life. The no kink is typically a marketing ploy to get you into the hose long enough where the warranty expires. I've had expensive thick hoses that I've fallen victim to so taking a chance on these expandable hoses for me is worth it. The effort along the way to use these are a lot less than the heavier hoses since it's so light weight. These lightweight hoses are for the nozzles and not for pumps, pressure washers, etc... I've tried in the past and realize they aren't marketed that way, they are for gardening, washing your pet or hosing down your kid. Regardless, this hose in the few weeks I've had it has been great. I've washed down some chairs, cleaned my car and even cleaned my garbage cans. Fingers crossed this last over a year.

I liked how it came with a hook to keep the hose nice and tidy. It’s been working really well so far. It’s also really nice how it expands and contracts so it doesn’t take up as much space but it still reaches far.

I like this water hose because it’s light weight, flexible and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Most IMPORTANTLY what I like is its leak free and seems really durable! No issues when we have used it. It’s easy to put back up when you are finished and doesn’t tangle and twist up. Just an over all good hose.

Let's start with the technical data not included in product listing but printed in "Instructional Guides" that came with this set and it states in NOTES ... "Best water pressure: 60-138 PSI". What? There is no household in the world that runs plumbing at this pressure range. The average potable water household system pressure in North America is 40-60 PSI. And that is the reality that makes this product listing claims false. The hose does not expand 2.5 times, at best it expands 1.5-2.0 times if your household water pressure is at or above average. Effectively the claimed 100 ft hose is 70-80 ft under that pressure. Once you start running water and the pressure drops, the hose loses another 15-20 feet of its length. The claimed 100 ft is not attainable under 40-60 PSI. The hose expands and is stretched to its maximum length under pressure, once you start using it and running water, the pressure drops, the hose shrinks and pulls the attached nozzle and your hand. You have to always leave the loop by your side to accommodate the shrinkage when using this hose. The only good thing about this hose is its light weight and easiness of handling while not using it. The nozzle is adequate at best ... probably the worst uneven stream patterns I have ever experienced using any new spray nozzle.

We’ve had several “no-kink” “expanding” water hoses over the years. They typically wear out after about a year and start leaking. In most cases, it is because the latex tube under the protective sheath gets a hole or puncture in it. This hose is a bit more sturdy, and even though that means it is heavier and doesn’t expand as much, we are hoping that means it will also last a bit longer than the last 3 or 4 expandable hoses we have bought. This hose set also came with some extra rubber washers, a hook for the hose, a water sprayer with multiple settings, teflon tape, and instructions. The instructions weren’t super helpful since hooking up a hose is pretty intuitive. However, it was nice to have all of the other accessories. Something that we find is also often overlooked, but very helpful, is the shut off valve attached to the sprayer end of the hose. These shut off valves are very useful if you are running water toys (like a splash pad) or if you ned to unhook one attachment (like a sprayer) and hook up another attachment (like a sprinkler) without walking back to the spigot. We like that they picked an appropriate hose color. Probably the only thing wrong with this hose is that it doesn’t really expand much. It goes from probably 25 feet long to close to 50 feet long when the water is on, but the valve is closed (i.e., just filling with water). But as soon as you start spraying something, the hose contracts back to about 40 feet. So this is really a 40 foot hose when in use. Not a huge deal, but probably not what some people expect when they buy a 50 foot hose. I will update this review if we have any significant issues in the first year.
