  • 10/10, no notes.
I shocked myself when I bought this because I thought there was no way it would be all the things that said it was. Turns out I was wrong and this thing is legit! I set up three different zones in my front yard and it waters them perfectly every day and I don’t have to stress about it.

  • Disappointing
Not ready for prime time. First, no matter how many times I set a zone, it cannot follow properly. Overshoots or undershoots. Second, flow is heavy, it flattens grass close to the device. Third, range is less than advertised, even with 100psi. Last, most of the device is HOLLOW. Apparently they stopped offering their fertilizer, so now the device has a big space for a product they no longer sell. They need to redesign this, improve functionality, and substantially reduce the ridiculous price point, it is way too expensive for what you get. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and great value
This is surprisingly light and really easy to set up. The instructions were really clear and the only thing I would mention is that you have to make sure it’s fully charged before you bring it outside. So that means that you cannot use it the day that you unbox it. It is an extremely good value for how far it goes range wise and the set up only takes minutes (after you charge it). I love that it uses solar so I can put it anywhere in my yard. It does require a good internet connection (which I had), but just noting that there. ... show more

  • Good watering system
The OtO lawn sprinkler is a good way to water a small lawn. I like that it only waters where you program it and that it knows from the internet what the weather is going to do and automatically skips watering when it's expected to rain. It has worked flawlessly since I got it set up. But the set-up is the difficult part. The app is not very user friendly. It is wonky settings up the zones and nearly impossible to edit them once they are set. I found I had to delete the zone and start over, rather than being able to edit it. This I had to do several times before the units were set to water where I wanted. Set-up was tedious and time consuming, but it has worked well since. It would be ideal if one could adjust the zone with touch controls on the map. Connecting was easy, with just having to get a hose nearby. The solar panels have charged the units consistently. I haven't had any problems with leaks, as long as the washers are new and the connections are tight. The design of the mounting brackets make them easy to hang from a post or place them in the ground. I was quoted $6000 for an in-ground sprinkler system, so at $500 apiece, I was able to set my yard up for $1000. That is quite a savings, plus I don't have to pay for start-up and shut down each year like I would have to for the in-ground system. With what I know, i would buy the system again. It's a great way to water your lawn and outdoor plants. I have recommended the system to many family members and friends, with the understanding that set-top is a chore. ... show more

  • Cannot say enough good about this product.
I cannot say enough good things about our OTO's. It was very easy to map out the yard, and we have a complicated yard. It is very reliable and absolutely waters where we told it too. It is set to not water in high winds and that feature works. It is set to not water if we get a certain amount of rain and it absolutely does not water when we've had the preset amount. It even told me the other day that it was only able to water at 79 percent capacity because our water pressure was lower than normal. We live in a new build area and most of our neighbors put in underground sprinkler systems. We went with the OTO's have honestly have the greenest lawn in the neighborhood. ... show more

  • Not as advertised!!!
Not happy at all. Bought this sprinkler and spent 500.00 after watching many videos and reading about the ability to add fertilizer and insecticide to the sprinkler for inline treatment. I received the oto and it has a hard time staying connected within 100 ft of my router. So that’s always an issue. It’s not my router as I have other devices further away with no issue. BUT, my biggest issue is once set up I check the compartments for the inline treatments, no QR code so I go online to order the treatments since this is why I spent 500.00 on a SPRINKLER and I find out too has discontinued this! The sprinkler I received has the compartments but no ability to use the features they advertised for a 500.00 sprinkler and yet NO price reduction with missing said features. Opened and used, can’t return. Oto, too bad that was a trial before purchasing for 2 acres. ... show more

  • You won't be disappointed
Works good, but expensive for how it's made. The cost must be in the forever running of the cloud based software. I have mine on the corner of the driveway to reach over the sidewalks and opposite side of driveway. It reaches all but the last 1ft for me. Not getting anywhere near the 40 ft, I might get 25-30 but I realize that's based on inlet water pressure. Wind really effects the 3 streams and the software has a wind cancel setting, but the local weather is never right about wind except in extreme cases, I find a light wind of 5mph effects the positioning so being tight with the border zones isnt effective all the time. The zone scheduling in the app needs improvement, you have to make a zone, schedule, then copy the zone, schedule again, change the name, copy again schedule again, rinse and repeat for each time of day. So if you have 4 zones and want to water 3x a day you have to setup 12 scheduled zones. Not a huge deal but who gets it right the first time?, So yes 24 or 36 copies gets to be a pain. It should have a program that runs which covers all zones, set your 3 boundaries, set your 3 times and be done. Weather delay is so so not sure where it gets the weather. It should give you the option to pick. Weather underground is hyper local and this needs weather reporting as close as possible because of the pinpoint stream. I have it full sun and haven't needed the power cord. Its to far from power which is why I purchased this over the other similar brand. I haven't had to charge it, the sun has handled it. That said manual activation is delayed up to 5min. Not sure if it was plugged in if it would be faster but on solar, to start or stop from the app takes up to 5min for the sync to flow down to the device. So far it's worked unlike those Bluetooth O brands that never hold a connection. The Oto is probably 100ft from our wifi antenna and connected. Those O brands where like 1ft away and wouldnt stay connected. Now if it would have a Home Assistant integration I would give it the 4th star and I can water based on realtime wind. ... show more

  • Life changing for my morning watering routine
So far I love it! I don’t have a large front yard (approx 40x30 ft) but I do have several beds. So far the auto scheduling of the watering has changed my morning routine from figuring out which bed I was going to water that day and for how long to giving my attention to cultivating what I have planted. Definitely advise making sure you are using a 3/4” hose and a 2.4hz network set up for your household smart devices. Once I did that…it worked perfectly! Thinking of getting two for the back yard. Want to see how it holds up over time first before making the investment. More to come… ... show more
