I am new to working pottery and got this set to use with my grandkids when they visit. I have natural clay in my back yard and the kids enjoy making their own items. There is more than enough to share. it would be great if a storage pouch came with it for easy organization and transport. but the container it comes in is good enough for me. I only use clay once in a while to make kid jewelry for family, or for crochet hook handles. That said, I am fairly crafty and couldn't pass these up. I am really happy with the variety of shaped tips. I would use household items before to make impressions & try to get the desired look. These will make it so much easier to achieve look desired. They wipe clean easily. And I can see myself using these for working with fondant also. They arrived in a nice plastic tube with screw on lid which I plan to store in. Only dropped and lid cracked, still works so will keep til fails. For someone that dabbles in a variety of crafts, especially clay, these would be a great gift. Recommend.

The plastic turned out not to be as sturdy as I hoped, but depending on your materials, these may be fine. I found some rough spots from some of the plastic mold edges to be a bit more, well, ROUGH than I expected, with extra harsh lines I did not want. Marked those, set them aside, and grabbed the next tool. These would make a nice set for students and beginners to start ... again, depending on the material. They are bargain priced.

This kit includes several sets of plastic modeling clay tools. Nice round grips for smaller hands. The tools have a good weight, a good construction, and don't stick. Sculpting is a joy. Great for beginners class or pursuing artistic freedom. Air clay, foam clay or back-to-finish clay will fold and shape easily.

These aren't the most flexible of tools, but sometimes you need something harder to push the clay around more efficiently. These will definitely do that. Better for rougher gouging work to make certain shapes than for smoothing and applying. They will be great for that use.
