I am new to working pottery and got this set to use with my grandkids when they visit. I have natural clay in my back yard and the kids enjoy making their own items. This simple plastic set has multiples of the same tool so they can work at the same time. It is a good price, and they come in a nice tube for storage between uses.

Very sturdy and these work very well for my slab building ceramic pieces. They can work for handbuilding of air dry clay as well or of polymer clay. Easy cutting, and smoothing, and shaping and you receive several different tools but with 35 pieces, one can spread these out on a work table for a class and everyone can work with different tools easily. Several of the tools can be used interchangably for the same purpose so it makes working in clay simple and more exact, and easy even in a large group. Stores easily in the container.

This is a very convenient bulk pack of clay tools. The tools are plastic, but relatively thick and sturdy, and the tips are well made. Being made of plastic keeps the cost down and these were listed at a fantastic value price when I ordered them. The shafts have a bit of extra plastic extrusions here and there on some of the tools, but they aren't sharp. The tool shapes are all useful, no throwaway add-ons here. They come neatly housed in a thick plastic tube with lid that is perfect for storage. I will be using these for a class that I am teaching in wax carving and manipulation. They will work just as well for wax as they do for clay. This is a great multi pack for classroom usage as it contains multiples of each type. Excellent buy.

The plastic turned out not to be as sturdy as I hoped, but depending on your materials, these may be fine. I found some rough spots from some of the plastic mold edges to be a bit more, well, ROUGH than I expected, with extra harsh lines I did not want. Marked those, set them aside, and grabbed the next tool. These would make a nice set for students and beginners to start ... again, depending on the material. They are bargain priced.

I only use clay once in a while to make kid jewelry for family, or for crochet hook handles. That said, I am fairly crafty and couldn't pass these up. I am really happy with the variety of shaped tips. I would use household items before to make impressions & try to get the desired look. These will make it so much easier to achieve look desired. They wipe clean easily. And I can see myself using these for working with fondant also. They arrived in a nice plastic tube with screw on lid which I plan to store in. Only dropped and lid cracked, still works so will keep til fails. For someone that dabbles in a variety of crafts, especially clay, these would be a great gift. Recommend.

Polymer clay is one of my favorite mediums of all time, and I am a notorious clay tool destroyer. I've gone through a lot of inexpensive, plastic tools that I picked up at hobby stores. These are holding up great so far, and I am very pleased with their sturdiness and also their feel. They don't have any of the sharp molding edges that some plastic clay tools have, and they're very comfortable in my hand. The next time I'm offering a clay class, I will definitely be ordering a set of these for my students! And for me, I think they're going to be perfect and last for a while! Very pleased!
