I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only request items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review. I do not sit at my desk for hours on end but what I do I like to be comfortable. I tried one of those mesh style office chairs and hated it so when I saw this, I wanted to give it a try. This chair was well packed and arrived with no damage. The base comes in two parts. There is the main 5-leg part then 5 additional arms that you snap onto the base to extend it out. I assume they do this to make for a smaller shipping box. Once the leg extensions are installed the base is very rigid (pictured). The adjustor plate that the gas piston inserts into is also heavy and well made (pictured). I mention both points as I have had issues with other office chairs failing in both of those areas due to cheap construction. I don’t feel this chair will have those types of issues. The assembly was very easy, and the instructions were easy to follow. All of the needed hardware comes separately packaged and labeled so you can easily find the various bolts you need. They even include an allen wrench (pictured). It took about 15 minutes to put this chair together. I used it a few days then retightened all the bolts and put the plastic bolt covers on the arm attachment points. They even include a spare of each bolt size and bolt cover, just in case. The finished chair speaks for itself. It is attractive with a sort of race seat design but doesn’t scream “I’m a gamer jacked up on Dew”. I like that it has a taller back that a task chair but is not as tall, or bulky, as the executive chairs can be. But the big test is the butt test. And I can say after using this a few weeks, my butt is happy. I'm 5-10, 220 and this chair has enough padding to be vary comfortable but not so much that you feel like you are being swallowed up when you sit down. The arms are padded and comfortable when you rest your elbows on them. The back is comfortable and provided the support I need in the right places when I lean back in it. There is an adjustment for how much tension you want when you lean back and a lock option if you don’t want the chair to lean back at all. I also like how stable the chair feels when you lean back. I can really rock back hard and the base stays firmly on the ground and I do not have any feeling that I will tip over, a good design. As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. Yep, I got a winner here and would gladly buy this chair. ... show more

    • Comfortable chair
I am not a gamer, but I do sit at my desk quite often to work, read, and write. I had previously ordered an office chair that was poorly made and started falling apart on me. I wasn't sure about this one when I ordered it. I have been pleasantly surprised. First of all, it was easy to assemble by myself. I have put together quite a bit of furniture at this point, but I am a female that basically taught myself to use a drill about 7 months ago. I had no issues. All of the pre-drilled holes and hardware for assembly fit together perfectly. The chair is very comfortable. I can sit in it for hours without my back or neck hurting. It has a decent amount of padding. It is the perfect depth for me. I like comfort, but I need back support and don't want to get lost in the chair either. I like the padded arms too. My husband has back problems and finding an office chair that is supportive and adjustable in beautiful leather was not easy. This chair checked every box for us. It is attractive and comfortable, large enough to support a 240 lb man, with a high back. It is a substantial chair - it was challenging to lift the box it came in (the delivery person left it at our gate, about an ⅛th of a mile from our door), so that I had to open the box where it was and bring it in piece by piece. My purpose for writing this is not to complain about shipping or delivery, but to point out how heavy the chair is - in a good way! Got this chair for my dad for Christmas. My son and I assembled it in about 20-25 minutes. Most of the steps were straightforward, but if you buy this chair, make sure not to tighten the arms down until the backrest is in place. Also, one of the holes for the backrest screws was drilled slightly crooked, so we stripped a screw in our first attempt at securing the right side of it. Thankfully, there was an extra screw included and we were able to get everything together. (It might be nice to have a couple extra screws, just in case.) Otherwise, the chair seems to function as it should. Has a firm but comfortable feel. Hoping dad gets years of use out of it. A good chair at this price point. I recommend it. ... show more

This chair was easy to assemble, but it may be because between my office and home I have assembled quite a few chairs. It is easy to roll, easy to swivel, and when I sit down I can feel cushioning on every inch of me....no, not me, the chair....cushioning on the chair. It's really easy to relax in it. I'm sure it would make an awesome gaming chair. The one thing I would pay attention to is the weight limit. While the legs are configured at an angle that gives them maximum strength to hold the weight above, 250 pounds should still be considered the limit, and a lot of people meet and exceed that. My adult son was asking for a gaming chair, so we decided to give this one a try. It was fairly easy to assemble, was packaged well and the box included all of the pieces needed to complete the chair. The padding on the chair is firm. All of the stitching is even and well done. My son is 5’9” and has a slim build. This chair is very comfortable for him. The casters do not move well on carpeting, so we recommend using a chair mat. The chair pivots easily. You have the options of using the chair in a stationary position or you can enable the rocking mechanism, which he really likes.
