Description

Gaea's Blessing was established in Central Illinois with a mission to ensure that our future generations have access to a safe and stable source of sustenance and to share our love for gardening! All of our seed varieties are thoroughly vetted and selected based on cultural, environmental, and seasonal cues to meet the needs of growers of all types! Whether you are a commercial farmer or are a new grower, you can rest assured, we are committed to delivering quality, non-GMO seeds to our customers! Also, did you know that fresh seeds can be kept for years when stored in cool and dry conditions? We know that you might not want to plant all of your seeds at once so we've included a labeled zip lock baggie for you to keep some seeds for the next growing season! The Cayenne Long Red Slim pepper produces very hot, thin-walled, curled, twisted, pointed fruits that reach 6" in length. These peppers are dark green when young but will change to bright red after about 70 days when they reach maturity. The pungency develops early in these peppers, so they can be used as soon as they are 1" long. At 40,000 Scoville Heat Units, these peppers are hot! Hotter than a jalapeno but not as hot as the habanero, the Long Red Slim Cayenne Pepper has a delicious and rich flavor that is the perfect heat for most people. Great for roasting, broiling, grinding, using fresh or for powdering. Dice them up to top dishes or use in sauces. A great all around hot pepper that might just be the only one you need! We're a movement. Agriculture is the basis of life. We aim to protect this foundation for generations to come. We aim to protect culturally diverse seed varieties to ensure the stability of our ecosystems and our environment. We select our seeds based on culturally and environmentally informed research focused on preserving balance and diversity. We aim to share knowledge of sustainable practices to ensure the longevity of our ecosystems and promote sustainable growing methods. As adopters of the Safe Seed Pledge, we do not knowingly offer any genetically modified or engineered seed varieties. Gaea's Blessing is a family owned company founded in response to a dire need to promote sustainable growing methods, to protect our environment and the biodiversity of our planet, as well as to bring about change to ensure our future generations access to a safe and genetically stable source of sustenance. We're based in Austin, TX! Through our guidance, seed selection, and mission, we aim to start a movement to increase awareness of important environmental factors that can affect our communities and ecosystems.
