Description

Peace Lily features solid, green foliage. The Peace Lily is great for tabletops. It does well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place Peace Lily in a spot that receives bright light (5 or more hours). Water your plant about once a week with approximately 1 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let Peace Lily sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 15-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. Peace Lily is a moderate grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the Peace Lily, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. This plant is considered hardy in USDA Zone 10b-11.Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. This Peace Lily is better and more beautiful than the photo depicting what you can expect to receive. It is huge and healthy, covered with blooms, and cost less than peace lilies half its size at Home Depot. It requires regular watering but, other than that, is a very easy houseplant that makes a spectacular showpiece at this size. I bought the one in a growers pot and immediately placed it in the antique porcelain pot I had prepared for it by placing a large saucer (which holds the plant 1" above its base) at the bottom of the pot to hold drained water. (If you water it and no water drains from the pot, you have not watered it enough.) Admittedly, peace lilies don't seem that exotic, but in that case, you're thinking about the typically small ones offered at grocery stores. At the size of this 3-foot+ tall Lily, with its long, elegant, dark bluish green gracefully arching leaves and large, uniquely shaped pure white flowers rising above them and displayed in a beautiful** pot, its simplicity represents the definition of sophistication. If you have been looking for a large, easy-to-keep, elegant plant that does well in low to medium light situations and presents beautifully wherever you place it, don't pass over this bargain. You will not regret purchasing it, but if kept sufficiently watered and not allowed to dry out, you will enjoy it for years to come. ** This Lily is best displayed in an oriental style or vase shaped pot that complements the plant with subtle colors that add to its impressive qualities, as opposed to, for example, loud neon colors that would only serve to distract from the pleasurable visual experience of a well-matched pairing. A large pot that is 3-4" above the sleeve's soil level and approximately 50-75% as wide as the leaves makes for a lovely display. However, the width, material, and style of pot, as well as its location, are more dependent upon the surrounding decor and personal preference. There are no proportions written in stone, although establishing symmetry (between the pot and plant and ambient surroundings) is an important detail and not one to be overlooked due to the amount of attention the display will invariably receive. I don’t write many reviews, but this company needed accolades for the amazing job they are doing…growing, selling, and shipping beautiful plants. This plant was exactly as described. It’s extremely healthy with new shoots and lush green. I can not rave enough about the shipping, not one broken leaf. It is bug and mite free. They even sent a heat pack and the soil was still very moist when she arrived. Yes, it’s a she, she told me so. 😉 Not only would highly recommend this company, I will be buying plenty more plants from them. It’s massive. Already has three potential flowers, growing two on the top and one slightly diagonal on the bottom. I bought at least nine different plants from this company. They always give you exactly what they describe. Really have no complaints at all. Have outfitted my whole house with real plants and threw away my fake plants. And everything looks more natural,. Came well packaged. Soil Moisture meter read 2 and leaves were sagging so I gave it a drink to pick up the soil Moisture above 8 and it bounced rite back.
