  • Highly recommend but order when temps are above 32 to get best results
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
Absolutely loved arrived great even with colder temps and stayed by seller in info to Oder when above 32 to protect plants we had some close days to low temps but they made it packaged very well only issue no labels to identify the app was iffy on 3 plants and I’d love to know what I get so I see that in alot of reviews and would hope you would label going forward I deleted app it’s only 7 day free trial then pay weekly monthly or yearly subscription and if app was more helpful maybe but I’m ordering a 2nd batch cause we have good weather for mailing and I loved first set I recently bought but LABEL PLANTS please and thank you Amazing deal for $19.99 but I may do the 12pk for $23 I had pics with individual wrapped but I accidentally deleted them somehow but shows in box in tray and then unwrapped and on stand to take pics quick. One has lost several leaves but is expected with shock from traveling and new environment so I’m just paying attention to it then leaves started curling which stayed needed water on plant app for what it said it was so I watered and now waiting to see after losing half its leaves ... show more

  • Just as amazing as the larger ones!
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
This is the second box of plants I have ordered from this company in a short period of time while the weather was cooperative. This assortment is just as amazing as the first one. I actually said “OOOOH!” out loud when I opened the box and looked inside. I had to look up some of the plants to make sure what they were because I had guessed incorrectly about two from the first, larger, ones. I had simply relied on the pictures in the ad, rather than informative websites with pictures and what I had assumed to be an arrowhead variety turned out to be a beautiful velvet leaf philodendron, which is absolutely lovely. Another which I had assumed to be a type of peperomia is apparently a striking variety of what’s called a friendship plant. The name makes it even better. All four larger ones are still thriving, which is a first for me. The smaller assortment contained a cute little variegated spider plant, which I had hoped it would. The plant that made me express my joy out loud appears to be a mammy croton and it has two taller plants in one 2” container, so it’s full looking. It’s so beautiful that it doesn’t look like it could possibly be real. The long leaves are twisted and a blend of green younger leaves with pink, burgundy and green longer leaves. This one is a definite attention grabber. I got an arrowhead variety with some burgundy highlights and what are probably some beautiful varieties of peperomia. Sizes varied, so they’ll be able to fit in different types of containers. The box took some rough handling during shipment, but the plants were well wrapped, just like the first ones I ordered. The two tallest ones got loosened in their pots from the rough handling, and their new pots haven’t arrived yet, so I temporarily put their tiny pots in some potting mix like people do for certain plants outdoors over winter. This is holding them safely while they wait to be repotted in a few days. I was careful not to put the extra potting soil above the level of their current pots. The temporary container was deeper and can hold them from tipping over, even though I didn’t fill it beyond the height of the current pots. This company clearly ships healthy, well-wrapped plants. They have no control over weather conditions or mishandling during shipment and they really shouldn’t be blamed or criticized for whatever happens to their beautiful plants on their journey to customers’ homes. Both boxes of plants I received contained healthier plants than I’ve seen in local stores. I just had to wait until a window of warm enough temperatures made it safe enough to ship them. Delivery services aren’t going to care if your precious plants freeze to death. This company clearly cares because they ask customers to wait for warmer temperatures before ordering right in their ad. They don’t want the baby plants they raised to die on the way to your house. They want them to survive and to make your home more pleasant. Otherwise, they wouldn’t bother asking you to wait. Trust me, these plants are worth waiting for. I waited months for a window of warm enough weather and it was definitely worth it. You probably won’t find plants this beautiful for this price locally. I certainly can’t and I’ve been trying for months. Give this company a chance when the weather permits and you will get to see what it’s like to open the box and exclaim with delight. If you want larger plants, their larger ones are also great. I’m planning to order more later because they rotate varieties. And it’s really fun to get a surprise package of things that make me smile. ... show more

  • Not from the right supplier!! Not as advertised!
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
I ordered a set of 4 Pothos plants from Plants for Pets at the beginning of Aug. & absolutely loved those plants. They were big & healthy... So, I ordered 2 more sets of 6 plants. Slightly smaller in a variety pack, but since they were advertised as being sold by Plants for Pets, I figured it was safe & I would receive something similar to the first set only smaller of course. That's why I placed the order. Because of the first set of beauties. But what I received was from another company- Altman Plants. I have never heard of them. I never ordered from them. I even double checked & that is what it says on the website & on the order. It says Plants for Pets. That is NOT what I received. These were so pathetic looking. They were so small. Dried, withered leaves & the 2 spider plants were dead (withered & black leaves) I received 2 other tiny, very odd-looking plants. Both of them together didn't fill a 4" pot & then 8 POTHOS! That's right, 8 more of the same plant! I love Pothos but come on. It was supposed to be a variety pack! They weren't packaged well. Some of the soil was moist & other dry. As soon as I tried to repot them, they fell apart. There were NO ROOTS on them. Just a couple leaves & a tiny vine stuck in the dirt to make it look like a small plant. They were not. They looked like clippings or broken pieces meant for the trash. But someone shoved them in some dirt & shipped them out like they were actual plants. The spider plants had to be dead when they put them in the box. They should be ashamed of themselves. The plants are not going to make it. If 2 or 3 actually live, I will be surprised. I can't believe the difference in companies! The professionalism, pride & care was unbelievable. Plus, I was charged double what I paid for the first four. Placing 2 of these leaf cuttings together do not come close to equaling to 1 of the others from my first set. Sooo extremely disappointed as they were a gift for my Mother. After she saw the first set & how nice they were. She really liked them. (She's So hard to buy for) I wanted to get her something I knew she would like so she could have a nice set also. I was crushed when I saw them. Then I tried to salvage what I could to make a couple decent looking, healthy plants for her to have. But I'm not sure that they will even live. (It made me feel awful) I will not be ordering anything that can't be verified from whom & where it's actually coming. I trusted what was advertised. It's pathetic that someone would try to do this to a paying customer. Do they not care in the least? It states on the card that was enclosed 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. Guess we're gonna have to put that to the test. Would give Negative stars if it were possible! ... show more

  • If I could do it again...
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
I wanted to give 5 stars, and thought long and hard about it. But the Maranta Red came with only 4 leaves. 2 leaves torn in half, 1 leaf deformed, one leaf was was dried and curling on all edges. However, the plants came a day early and the remaining 5 plants are in great shape and look very healthy. Feels like Maranta was packaged looking sad and half dead, but was sold anyway. Perhaps someone on the shipping and packing line was having a bad day. Knowing the outcome...I would do it again. The plants were worth it. Beautiful and full. ... show more

  • Mostly great plants
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
I purchased these plants twice in the past month. My first order was spectacular, even though the weather wasn’t the most ideal for shipping. The plants came fast and all 6 were healthy. They are still thriving. My 2nd order unfortunately didn’t live up to the same standards. I took each out of the baggy they were individually wrapped in inside the tray holding them all but let the plants sit in the nursery pots they arrived in the first 10 days for the 1st order to let them get used to their new environment. My 2nd order came 5 days ago and I am doing the same thing. The plants all seemed to look fine upon arrival but maybe I didn’t look close enough since I was rushing to get back to my desk. The soil was extremely moist when they were delivered and at this point that’s still the case for all six of the little 2” nursery pots so I guess they were overwatered and now they’re in distress. 3 of the plants are still thriving and the leaves have relaxed/spread. They look happy & healthy (1st pic Friday the morning after they came). The inch plant, pothos & peperomia Ginny are still looking fantastic (last pic). The other 3: the curly spider plant has a couple of dead or dying leaves, 2 fell off and my vacuum ate them but there are still a couple attached which I believe I can trim off and hopefully no further issues. The wandering dude looks like it’ll likely be a total loss and the croton has a few dying or dead leaves. I don’t expect them to be 100% perfect but it would’ve been nice if they didn’t come overwatered so they stood a better chance of surviving. ... show more

  • 6 for 6 – All Plants Arrived Healthy
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
I purchased a set of 6 starter plants and I’m honestly really happy with them so far. All 6 arrived alive and in good condition. The leaves were green, not dried out, and none of them looked like they were struggling from shipping. A couple had minor imperfections on a leaf or two, but nothing concerning at all — just normal plant stuff. What I really appreciated was that the roots were already established. When I checked them, they weren’t root-bound or damaged, just ready to be repotted when needed. That made the transition into new pots super easy. These are definitely starter plants, so don’t expect them to be huge right out the box — but they’re healthy and growing. Within a few days I already noticed them perking up and adjusting to their new environment. If you’re newer to plants like me, this is actually a great set to start with. They’re manageable, forgiving, and give you a chance to learn without feeling overwhelmed. One had to be repotted already Overall, I’d definitely order again. Good quality plants, arrived safely, and a great value for getting multiple varieties at once. ... show more

  • Love my new plants!
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
I absolutely love this product! This is not sponsored or an ad in any way. I’m just a regular person who recently got into plants, took a chance on this, and ended up genuinely so excited about it that I wanted to leave a review. Honestly, my favorite part was the mystery box aspect. I love mystery boxes of any kind, and I love plants, so this was basically the perfect combination for me. I was so excited to see what I got, especially because the listing shows examples of possible plants, but after looking through other reviews, I saw people receiving all kinds of different varieties too, which makes the surprise even more fun. My plants arrived through UPS in a box clearly marked “live plants” with ventilation holes, and they were packaged really well. I added photos of how they arrived wrapped up, what they looked like once unwrapped, and the identification card that comes in the box. All six of my plants were healthy and looked great. One was even in the process of growing a new leaf, which I thought was such a good sign! The only tiny thing I would mention is to check underneath the tray before removing all the plants. I made the mistake of taking everything out first and then found the card listing which plant was which underneath, so I had to do a little detective work and look some of them up myself. Not a huge deal at all, just something to know. An unexpected bonus for me was that all six of the plants I received appear to be pet-safe, which made me incredibly happy because I have three dogs, including a mischievous puppy who likes to investigate everything. Obviously your selection may vary, but it was a really nice surprise. Overall, I’m honestly already tempted to order another box because I had so much fun with it. If you’re someone who loves plants and enjoys a surprise, I definitely recommend trying it. I also think this would make such a thoughtful gift for a plant lover in your life. Just keep in mind that because it’s a mystery box, someone with a very large plant collection might receive a duplicate. For the price, I thought this was such a fun little experience and a great way to add some new plants to my collection. I can’t wait to put them in cute pots and watch them grow! ... show more

  • Image is very deceiving
Number of Items: 6 Plant type: Easy Houseplants
Four of the 6 were ok. One plant in the box was dry as a gourd and completely wilted. The other plants were all wet. The overly dry plant was dead by the next morning even though I watered it when I opened the box. Another plant I threw away. When I opened the box a few gnats flew out. When I looked to see what I got I saw the English Ivy. This is a plant known for attracting gnats, spider mites and spiders. This may be an easy to grow plant but so is Kudzu. This is not a plant that should ever be sent out unless someone specifically orders it. I tied it up in a plastic bag and tossed it in the trash since it obviously had gnats and I don't want an infestation of gnats in my home. What I don't like about this order is I have no idea what 3 of the other 4 plants are. No indication of what they are sending you or how to care for the plants included in the order. The only one I recognized is the prayer plant. These are all very tiny plugs so don't expect the full plants that they show on the sellers page, their image is very deceiving; the plants I received only had 2 to 3 leaves each. I will hope for the best for the other 3 plants but since I don't know what they are I don't know how to care for them. ... show more
