  • A great budget chair—but a tad short.
Color: Black
Let me start off by explaining that I don’t come from luxury office chairs. Before this, I had been using a wooden bar chair, a yoga ball, and finally, a masseuse stool. My standards for comfort may be pretty low compared to anyone coming from more comfortable chairs. That being said, this is a very comfortable chair. I had initially bought a stool, fearing for the lack of space in my room, but after sitting in the stool for even 4 hours, my hips, butt, and lower back would start hurting. So I bought this. I have had this since early February 2022 (going on 5 months at time of writing) and it’s still holding up fine. No significant wear in the material, no issues with the base. Nothing. Even the arm rests are fine. It does its job. I use my computer for 8-15 hours a day (both work and hobbies) so this chair gets a lot of use. So far it has held up, but I will update with the date, if or when it does start to fail. I do have some minor issues though. Sitting in it, it feels like the chair is tilted forward, like I’m about to slide off, even though I’m securely in it. In the end it may be better for my legs, because there’s no pressure point to cut off circulation behind my knees, but it’s something that takes time to adjust to, especially if you’re used to more of a bucket-type seat. The second issue I have is that the cylinder/lift of the chair is WAY too short. I have a standard computer desk, and with the chair at maximum height, the desk was at my sternum, and I was forced to type with my arms far too high. It caused significant joint pain in my shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knuckles. I didn't hate the chair, and I didn’t feel like sending it back, so I decided to just replace the part that was bothering me. The third issue is that after a few months, the cylinder wouldn’t hold its height. I had to raise it every time I wanted to sit, and with my incessant rocking and twisting (ADHD, gotta fidget,) it would drop while sitting in it, and I’d have to lift it back up every few hours. So this was another deciding factor for my choice to replace the riser. In the photo, the cylinder on the right is the one that comes with the chair. That is fully-extended. The one on the left is one that I bought (also off of Amazon) which arrived today, and is in its fully-compressed state. The extra height has made a WORLD of difference. In conclusion: If you want a sub-$100 chair, this is a great choice. You may need to put a chair cushion on it if you prefer a soft seat, and if you need more height, buy a cylinder with it, so you don’t have to go through the replacement process which is a pain. (The one I bought is 11.4”-16.9”. I’m 5’6” and have a 30.3” tall desk, if that helps.) In the end, I have spent $100 on this chair (if we include the cylinder) which isn’t too bad. There are definitely cheaper cylinders out there than the one I got, which can cut down the cost, but since I’d already installed the stock one, I needed tools to remove it. Sure, I could have just taken a hammer to it, but this way was much easier. Chair was $70, cylinder kit was $30. Not awful. But for that price, you may be better off going into your nearest office supply store and trying out those chairs in person. For me, this was the easier option, and considering you’re looking at chairs on Amazon, I’m going to assume this is the easier option for you, too. You get what you pay for, and in this case, it seems to be a good product. ... show more

  • Good chair for a smaller person.
Color: Black
The chair has good lumbar support, was easy to assemble and seems well made. Time will tell. It is a bit short in height, though. I am 6' and it sets about 1"-2" low for me when at maximum height.

  • Only for small people
Color: Black
It's not a bad chair but it's height is very short. If you're tall - that chair is not for you.

  • Not a gaming chair, too short (shoulder height)
Color: Black
I didn't look at the video. The video's picture is truncated not to show the chair's height that only reaches shoulder height. Quality and cost are fine. Slight frustration when installing screws. Amazon almost always does great on shipping speed. The main issue is calling this a Gaming chair which should not be used. Simply an office chair. (What are the holes for?!) ... show more

***Update III*** Never heard back from Furmax about having been sent a chair that had two right-handed arm rests. Have had the chair less than 2 months and as expected, the incorrect/faulty parts they sent have caused premature failure. The right-hand arm rest being installed on the left-hand side was not able to align perfectly. I have been using extra care getting into and out of the chair hoping Furmax would send the correct replacement part. Last night I notice the left-hand side of the chair was feeling rather wobbly, upon inspection I found the bolt holes cracked/failing. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service, or complete lack there-of that I have received. I will be contacting Amazon and requesting information on my options at this point. DO NOT BUY FROM FURMAX. They are a terrible seller to do business with. **Update II** Since receiving the email requesting photos and then sending them the photos - there has been ZERO contact from Furmax. Screw this. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Ever. Cheap or not, they take your money, send you faulty items and then disappear on you. I tried to be patient and reasonable with them. All I wanted was the correct parts for the chair I bought. I would gladly have even sent them the extra/incorrect parts I got back. But weeks later and nothing. I deeply regret doing business with this retailer. If they do not at least respond and tell me why they have declined to correct their error then I will report the issues to Amazon directly. I would rather not let a dishonest and shady company keep my money. Update, still no response from the seller/manufacturer about the incorrect arm rest. I sent them a direct message through Amazon today. Hoping that gets their attention more than my review did. Dropping the stars from 3 to 1 in the mean-time. Will continue to update as time goes by. The chair was delivered, assembled and placed in my office all before I got the Amazon Item Delivered text. This in spite of the fact that it shipped with two right-hand arms. First thing I noticed was the arms were packaged differently as you can see in the pictures. Quick inspection showed both arms were exactly identical, rather than mirrored. Getting the left side to fit took some work to get the bolts to line up because of this this. The chair works and is comfortable but the pieces dont fit exactly flush on the left. It is probably a little weaker than it should be. I am hoping the seller can send me a left handed arm rest. Other than that though there are no stand out issues to mention. Shipping took a bit longer than I had hoped for but this time of year (the holidays) tend to slow things down. No big deal there, still got the chair in reasonable time. Quality is about what you should expect for a desk chair in this price range. Stitching is there and seems to be solid, but the seems are uneven and wavy as if too much and too little material was used in places. Minor refinements like these are not the sort of stuff you should be expecting in a sub-hundred dollar office chair though. The pleather material that most of the chair is covered in is very soft and not too plasticky to the touch. However it's the kind of soft touch that you know is not going to hold up well for long. Even to average use. I dont expect the quality of this chair to stand up well against the test of time. Again though, if you are looking at this price range - you should have long ago accepted that this is not the last chair you will buy. If you want outstanding 5 star quality then expect to pay 5-star quality price. When taken for what it is; a cheap but comfortable office chair... then this chair is a great deal. Great price, as expected quality and good customer service/support. I would not hesitate to give this chair 5 stars as a functional, comfortable and affordable option. However delivering a product with two right-hand arms and no left is the kind of fail that will kill stars and keep me from recommending this seller/product to anyone else. I would caution anyone in the future that plans to buy this chair, look long and hard elsewhere. I will be happy if I get a solid year of use from this chair before seeing significant issues with both form and function. But that's what product warranties are for. PS I had seen a few reviews mention issues with the hardware backing out/getting loose. I was happy to see there was a small dab of blue loctite on all the hardware I received. However to really fix this issue and to help increase the strength/durability of this chair, extra washers really are needed. Especially for the arm rests. I will update this review as time goes by with my experiences. The big thing for me is the left-hand arm rest. I am hopeful the manufacturer/seller can send me the proper pieces as well as new hardware. Use the bolts are installed the loctite makes them a LOT harder to reuse. And since loctite once broken cant be reused, I am hoping they send new bolts with the arm-rest. ... show more
