TL;DR: Economical. Very ease to remove and replace. Initial impression is that it will hold up for several seasons. I spent an embarrassing amount of time shopping for faucet covers for both the wall faucet and a yard spigot. I read sooo many reviews. I finally settled on this mainly due to price. I use my faucet regularly in winter so I didn't want to rely on shutting it off inside. This cover is really easy to remove and replace snugly. It has kept the faucet safe in sustained 10F temps and provides an additional insulation over the mounting screw holes. I did turn off the water inside when the temps reached -15F for several days, so I can't speak to whether it would be enough for those extremes. I think some reviewers complained it was difficult to attach. I'm adding 3 photos showing how you wrap the cord around the bag, thread it under itself and secure it with the spring clasp. To remove, you pull the clasp back and wiggle the cord to loosen and undo it. Easy peasy. Photos were taken after one month of use; it doesn't show any wear yet. Recommend. ... show more

I live in SC and this past winter we had a week of extremely cold temps that were below freezing. These kept all my outside faucets safe from freezing. They are so much easier to install than the styrofoam covers.

There isn’t massive pipe destruction on my hose bibs after a few consecutive days below freezing. I don’t know if these helped, but they didn’t seem to hurt. These don’t latch on to the spigot like the rigid foam covers, so they may not be as effective, but they do the job in the Midwest.

When I first got this I thought this doesn’t look like this will keep my outside water faucet from freezing. But this is the second winter I have used it and it has worked well. It is easy to take on and off. I would recommend it.

This thing does what it claims. The one star reviews are mostly people who don't understand how it works. In order to get the drawstring to cinch you need to put the cover sock on the faucet with the drawstring hanging from the bottom, then loop the hole the drawsting makes back over the top of the faucet. Now cinch the drawstring. Done and done. (NOTE: The way it was designed the drawstring will not cinch from the bottom because of the seam, so looping it back through the sock to the top of the faucet is paramount in getting it to work.) See attached pics. As far as everything else -- Aesthetically, I prefer this to the styrofoam covers. It made it through winter just fine. No burst pipes. Five star purchase! ... show more

While I kept it, I'm still miffed about the seller naming USA as "country of origin." I try to buy made in America, but can't when the person or company is not truthful about the location of the manufacturing plant. The image of the package even misleads you because it doesn't match the real package, which clearly indicates "Made in China." So, although it was cheap and it works, I took two stars off for false advertising. ... show more
