This is a great design however, it is not exactly as noticeable when all of the bulbs are in place. They seem so bright that the detail is obscured in the light. I may remove some of the bulbs and see if that helps. The finish is not exactly as pictured but I may try to enhance it a bit if removing some of the bulbs doesn't help. I did have to move the light sockets around to get the bulbs seated into position before screwing them in. I used regular lamp type bulbs and they are right up against the frame but all seems OK so far. I didn't crack the bulbs which was my concern. It's such a beautiful design that it reminds me of a crown. The remote works well and the fan puts out a strong amount of air. All in all, I do love this fan/light. ... show more

I'm giving this all 5 stars because this is very well made and heavy. The remote control is very necessary DON'T LOSE IT! The lights will turn back on with the wall switch if you've had them on but if you use the wall switch to turn the fan off it won't turn back on without the remote only lights. The Fan only can be turned on by remote. The Gems all around reflect rainbows on the ceiling. Which I LOVE :) I put the fan on 6 and it's pretty good directly below and a little around. I guess it would depend on how big your room is. But of course this is not a very powerful fan for a big room. This fan though is an elegant addition to any small room. Its beautiful and puts out a great breeze. It also lights up my kitchen very well. Its remote control which I thought would bother me but it hasn't. The blades are discrete but function beautifully. Its well worth its price. I do recommend this fan!
