I have a metal door with beveled panels. This works, but you have to caulk the outside around the frame because of the bevels. That's a problem if you ever have to change the flaps because you have to disassemble the whole thing and recaulk. The way the inside frame and outside frame lock together was also a pain when you have to take the door back apart to change flaps. Surely they could offer a better method to interlock the two. The door flaps don't always fully close either. They drag on the opposite door and get stuck partially open. If you need replacement flaps, you must contact the seller, which turned out very hard to figure out. The flaps for this door are NOT available for sale in their store. But they do mail replacements to you once you figure out how to reach them. They were good about that. Door is attractive and still better than most.

The door works. However, my cat lost the magnet collar after the first 5 days and I can't find the second collar. There is apparently no where to order replacement magnets for the collar.

Love the idea of this door to prevent other animals from Inside the house. But sadly it didn’t come with the two keys it advertised so only works for one pet at this time

First, you’ll need the right tools. I used a jig saw, and a hand held sander… cutting was easy with a guide attached to the door. Then sanded inside edges to fit. I always cut slightly smaller and then work out. Reason is that you can always enlarge but it’s hard to shrink if you cut too much to begin with. That said; the plans and proposed process are easy to follow. Took me about 45 minutes… photos included.

The design is super bad- you can only have it facing inside if you want to give your animal complete access to the inside space. Which means, the locking mechanism is always going to be on the inside. This means if you’re like me and trying to keep animals away from each other during certain times of day only, the animal will likely unlock the door on its own. My cat already figured it out, so I’m unable to separate him from the other pet food in the house, and all his food is medicated which is why he has his own room. I wanted a door where he could let himself in and out at night, but would be locked during the day when the food is out. Unfortunately the way the locking mechanism is placed, it’s right on the bottom, and just clicks without any kind of safety, so the cat just scratches at the door, randomly hits the lock, and it opens. Likely if you had toddlers crawling around, they’d be able to trigger it too. I’ll have to find a DIY solution or get a different cat door, not impressed.

1 3/4 in door - It has two flaos with magnetic strips to keep them fixed on the closed position. One flap on each side of the door. But they interfere with each other and one or both are never in the relaxed closed position. Poor design. Go with a single fkap doggy door!!

Showed up with no hardware and in a shoebox that was beat up. Casing was cracked and it looked like it had been returned by someone else previously. I loved the idea of it but this is not the way to go. Avoid at all cost!!

The door opens and closes with these magnetic balls that are inside the blue/yellow bells. The bells are just snapped closed. Within maybe 2 weeks BOTH magnetic balls are GONE and now the door is unable to open or close. We installed it on our shed door for our barn cats. So it’s majorly sucks!!!
