  • Awesome pellet stove!!
Color: Black Vintage Edition
This stove throws a ton of heat, looks so good in person, it's super quiet, its very easy to thoroughly clean and is perfect size for my living room. (I have the black vintage package and the back up batteries.) I've had this stove a few months now. People regularly compliment how nice it looks and how much heat it throws.(even when its throwing ridiculous heat you can touch the stove anywhere but the front door and its cool to the touch) This is the 3rd pellet I've owned and by far the best. On level 1 it uses about 1 40lb bag per day and about 1.5 bags on level 2 (it has 5 levels) I sometimes run it on 3 for a few minutes and the stove gets piping hot, then I turn it back down and it maintains that extra heat for a while. I live in NH and it has been pretty cold so far this year. I'm using it to heat 3 levels, roughly 2500sq feet. I have a 1500w space heater on the second floor that I leave half way up. My boiler has been down for the last couple weeks and this stove has kept my whole house around 70° on level 2. I typically keep it on level 1 with the fan on level 5 and my boiler kicks on a few times per day. (I have the t-stat for the boiler set at 72°) I absolutely love this stove! The few things about it that I dont absolutely love. 1)I haven't had any luck getting the wifi connection ... which I dont really care about but it would be nice if it were better if I wanted to use it. 2) I dont really love the user interface on the panel its kinda wierd and more complicated than it needs to be. I pretty much only use the remote which is very straight forward and easy to use ...so i also dont really care too much about that. 3) I wish the panel had 10 settings rather than 5 or an accesible tech menu to more finely tune the feed rate. I.e. It would be nice to be able to set it at a lower geed rate than level 1 and set it somewhere between level 1 and 2 (I dont really like using the internal thermostat or temp control features on pellets stoves, It seems to be less efficient than just letting the stove run in manual mode...as you lose the heat soak etc. ( This goes for any pellet stove)) 4) when the stove starts it feeds a bit too many pellets, so it kinds dirty the glass a tad. Its not a big deal. I just open the door and wipe the glass after. Lately ive been carefully removing some of the pellets out of the burn pot before it ignites them so it doesnt run so rich during start up. Also not necessary. The glass stays relatively clean compared to other stove I've had though. It would also be nice to be able to adjust that in a tech/dealer menu. Other than that this stove is excellent. In my opinion it IS by far the best stove you can get for the price. DEFINITELY far better than anything you'll find at a box store . I plan on buying another one next season for my basement. This stove is perfect for my application but, It would be nice if they'd offer a slightly bigger stove with the same look and function in addition to this stove with a bigger hopper. (This holds a 40 lb bag) ... show more

  • Switching from wood to pellet is different.
Color: Black
So far I've been running this pellet stove for about 2 weeks now. It was a little bit difficult to find the chimney pieces vent into my lined chimney but once I got it all set up it was plug and Play. You do need to clean a pellet stove more often than a wood stove. There are some fan noises and occasionally the auger will squeal when it's moving pellets. Overall, this is a good machine. My only wish is that the thermostat wire /bulb was longer so I could move it away from the machine. The bulb reads the temperature near the machine way higher than what the actual room temperature is. I put a little tiny fan by it to get some more sample air delivered to the thermostat and it seemed to do the trick. Overall, very happy ... show more

  • Great customer service from Nate at Pellethead
Color: Black
I had a little issue with the temp censer and I contacted PelletHead and Nate took care of me right away! The stove was very easy to hook up and setup. I was burning pellets in just a few hours. It puts out great heat and I really like the different modes it has. I really like the ECO mode as it looks like it will save me money on pellets. One of the other things I liked is there are a lot of videos on you tube on how to setup, start up, program and clean the stove. Nothing better than watching someone do it for you the first time. One last thing, not only does it come with a remote I can use from my lazyboy chair...it comes with WIFI for my phone!!?? WHAT?! Yes, I can adjust the temp, fire height and fans from my appt on the phone. I give this stove a 10 out of a10 and would recommend it and PelletHead so far. ... show more

  • Really throws out the heat and can be WiFi controlled
Color: Red
We had a Comfortbilt Stove as well as an Englander and this is the best stove out of the 3. The pellet feed speed is easily controlled with the remote, as is the air flow. We tend to run it on pellet feed 2 and fan on 4 and really heats the VT farmhouse well. The house was built in the 1800's and the last time any insulation was done was in the 1970's. They had blown in cellulose insulation, and it found every mouse hole in the cupboards--was my grandmother MAD. It has settled, so insulation is spotty, yet this stove will heat the downstairs rooms to around 76 if you have it on high, even when it is below zero. There are many modes the stove can be run on (we like manual) and a bag of pellets will go us 18 hours. I really like the ash pan, and it is easy to remove without dumping ashes all over. I also like the fact that the auger is not exposed directly to the burn pot, so there is no carbon build up you need to chip off when cleaning the stove. This stove is a winner! ... show more

  • Nice stove
Color: Red
Overall a good pellet stove. It lights quickly, runs quietly and does a nice job of heating the house and maintaining consistent temperature. It does take a little longer to get to that temp than my previous one, and the hopper DOES NOT hold 40 pounds, probably more like 30. But I am more than satisfied with the unit especially at this price point. Would recommend 👍. ... show more

  • Excellant Pellet Stove
Color: Red
A great pellet stove. The various control features make this stove a one of a kind. The way it regulates to maintain temperature is awesome. It is not just a turn on and off stove to meet the required temperature. Also the sleek look of it makes it fit it smaller areas and not take up a lot of room. I have had pellet stove in the past and this one is the best yet. I would recommend this stove for anyone looking for one. ... show more
