The ice maker on my refrigerator has been broken for a couple years now. One day, I got tired of making ice cubes manually and searched for a countertop solution. This one came with great reviews so I decided to give it a try. I’m hooked! Things I love about it: - compact and stylish. It fits nicely on my counter beside the fridge and the stainless steel exterior blends in with my other appliances - ease of cleaning. The built in cleaning cycle and drain port make cleaning this unit easy and quick. - speed and quantity of ice. Amazing! The first cubes are made in a matter of minutes and the ice container will fill up in about an hour. I pack any excess ice up in a freezer bag and store. This way I only run the run the unit about 2-3 time a week and have 3 1-gallon zip bags standing by in the freezer. Pro Tip: there have been a lot of complaints about freezing the ice. It does make fairly wet ice. I shake the ice basket well to remove as much water as possible before transferring the ice into a freezer bag. Then about 20-30 mins after sticking it in the freezer, I take it out and smack it on the counter a few times. The ice stays nice and separated this way.

This little icemaker is perfect. I live alone in an apartment with an old two-door frig with little freezer on top which is always packed. I use a lot of ice in everything I drink. Ice cubes trays were a mess, always spilling and never enough room. I would order extra ice when I went through a drive-in window but so infrequently that I was always running out. Bags of ice at the store wouldn't fit and the stored ice would pick up tastes. Two glasses of water and I have enough for my drinks and two little baggies in my freezer that tuck away nicely between other stuff. And, I like the size as they fit in my drink mugs. These cubes have a hole in the middle which makes them nice and easy to crunch on. And the price was right. If you need something small and convenient this is it!!!!!

The ice is like sonic ice it just doesn’t stay cold for long to stay solid like sonic ice does. The machine is loud. But it works well and it is quick at making ice and I’ve enjoyed it. If you use a lot of ice then the water capacity isn’t very big but the ice taste good. The machine itself is good looking and fits nicely on my kitchen counter.

If you’re anything like me - the water has to be icy! But I hate walking to the ice machine all day to fill up 😖 This machine is PERFECT for the classroom. It’s a little loud when the ice drops but otherwise no one notices it. It makes small cubes quickly and doesn’t require tons of water. I put maybe 2 bottles in a day and that meets my ice need. It fits perfect on top of my filing cabinet and has a long cord too. Definitely glad I made the purchase!

This device was exactly as advertised. It made ice quickly and consistently. Easy to use, easy to clean. I used it happily every day for several months. One day, I noticed little black particles in the water tank. I did not smell mold. I reached out to customer service, and they helped me identify that it was plastic shavings - apparently the ice had jammed or something and made the machine off balanced where it was grinding bits of plastic off. Since the ice was no longer safe to use, Free Village offered to refund or replace my machine. They even covered the return postage! I really appreciated the prompt and helpful customer service. My next ice maker will definitely be from their company! If you are searching on Amazon, comparing ice machines, I highly recommend this one and this company. When I took the broken unit to Fedex for return shipping, the employee there told me that they ship broken ice makers frequently, but he had NEVER seen this brand being returned before. That spoke volumes about Free Village!!

I live in a small apartment and the refrigerator doesn’t have an ice maker and I hate ice trays. I bought this on a hope and prayer and boy I am glad I did, I love this thing, makes ice fast, super easy to use has a large water compartment and I have never had any kink of leak. East to clean easy to use and honestly you can make ice out of anything in this machine, I have make coffee ice, milk ice, monster energy ice, you name it you can make it into ice! Absolutely love this machine, would recommend to anyone

Works great out of the box. Ice production is quite fast, the basket filled in an hour and 30 minutes. Ice is not chewable soft sonic type ice nuggets though. Hard little squares are what I'm getting. Chewable if you let the ice sit until it starts to melt. The size of the cubes makes me think it would take a lot to fill a cup and would melt quickly and water down your beverage, though i haven't tried it. For the price, I should have known the nugget part was too good to be true. But nonetheless it works well so far. We will have to see if it lasts. It's not too noisy, but I can hear it running when I am in the room. I have hearing loss so don't take my word for noise level.

My only complaint is the cubes are very small and wet. The mfr ad indicated the dimensions but they actually can fit on my fingertips! It is fast and fairly quiet and the price was great so I am satisfied. Update: have been using this ice maker for a few weeks and it is ok but the ice basket is very small and gets full quickly and the ice maker shows a warning light and shuts off. If you can’t monitor the machine this is a definite drawback. Also I have to add water frequently otherwise it shuts off. Same as my comment above. I have to check it frequently and add water. For the price I think it does an ok job. In the future I will spend more and get a more robust ice maker. I looked at the pictures and videos posted on this page and was shocked… SAFETY WARNING… the ice maker booklet said to keep a 4” gap on all sides between the ice maker and walls etc. to avoid overheating. I just watched a video that is right next to an air fryer and the edge of the counter!!! Another was sideways between an appliance and the kitchen sink. Please read the safety manual before your child pulls it off the counter or you have a kitchen fire. The exhaust fans are on each side of the unit and do get warm.
