Got the Mini IT12 (i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Win 11 Pro) on Feb 27, 2024. Set up was very easy even though it took almost 2 hours for Windows 11 update with fast internet. Purchased to run 4 IP security cameras using Blue Iris. It is working flawlessly, fast, and practically no fan noise as some users complain. The 1TP internal SSD is super fast as compared to my Microsoft Surface Pro 8 (i7, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Win 11 Pro). The Read is 2x faster (4 MB/sec) and Write is almost 4 times faster (4.4 MB/sec). Using a 4K monitor/TV and the display quality is very good. The Surface Pro 8 stutters when using Google Earth. The GEEKOM Mini PC IT12 runs the Google Earth flawlessly while still operating my 4 High Resolution IP Security cameras. MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro work without any issue. I am really impressed with the performance of this Mini PC. No more skeptical of purchasing a Mini PC. The MS Surface Pro 8 cost me $1,000 as compared to $500 for Mini PC with 2-4 times better performance. Every component in this Mini PC is working flawlessly and far superior over my MS Surface Pro 8 that I own. After around three months I am as thrilled now as I was the first day I set up my IT12 (i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Win 11 Pro). This little box is whisper quiet and completes any task I throw at it with ease. I ordered a second one for my wife. The PC was very well packed in its shipping box and setup was simple as could be. I initially thought there was an issue with this PC and contacted Karen at customer service. Every company should have customer service as accessible and willing to listen as Geekom. It turned out the issue was not with the PC which worked flawlessly. I am completely satisfied with every aspect of this purchase and highly recommend the item. ... show more

I purchased the Geekom mini IT12, hooked it up, fired it up and was really impressed. It started up faster than any computer I've ever owned. I had a monitor but purchased a wireless keyboard and a little sound bar and put all the wires in a little box with my Mini sitting on top, see the attached pictures. I had to have power coming in for the monitor and computer and a cable from my printer but there is very little clutter on my desk. Coming from Windows 10 to Windows 11 took a few days to get used to but now I have things set up and functioning. Living in the country I have Skylink internet and my download speed tripled from my old computer, no kidding! I can't hear any noise from the cooling fan at all and when I click on a program it come on right now, fast. I can't believe I was lucky enough find this computer and highly recommend it. ... show more

    • Video setting reset on both MS Windows and Linux

Every five or ten minutes, duel monitors switch from Extended back to mirrored. It does it on both MS Windows and Linux. Swapped out HDMI cables, but no difference. Contacted Geekom three days ago and no response. Sending it back on Monday if Geekom doesn't respond by then. Update: got a response from Geekom this morning. Update: A MS Windows Update resolved the problem in Windows 11. I'm still having issues on Linux. I'm a Linux user 99% of the time, so it's still a little frustrating. Furthermore, I no longer believe it's a hardware issue, though. It looks like an Alder Lake-P GT1 Linux video driver issue. I changed my rating to 4 stars for that reason, and decided it is still a good value for the price. One additional comment, Geekom did an outstanding job designing the housing. It's easy to open, and they put clips on the screws, preventing them from falling out. The physical layout inside is also well though out, making it easy to access or add components. It's a lot of computers for the money. Let's hope Intel gets their act together on the Linux side. Update: Still had video issues sporadically and waited too late to send it back to Amazon. Kept thinking it was a driver issue. Finally gave up and contacted Geekom support and asked for a replacement. They promptly sent me a new computer. The new one works great. Just received a Mini IT 12. Works great and on my desktop BUT the fan kicks on full for any load. Even just sitting idle with no apps open. Already changed the bios to quiet mode. This makes it start out silent but the fan kicks on after a minute. I would return this if there is no fix. Hope their support can help me. Update: After only about a day Customer Service reached back out to me, my fault as I contacted the wrong group. They provided a BIOS solution to install and it works!! Now I can't hear it under normal load and while surfing or watching videos. Great little machine , capable of playing Halo albeit not at the higher specs. For surfing and every day, it's almost instantaneous. Boots to Win 11 in maybe 10 seconds. I'll update again if anything changes but I like this. ... show more

This computer set up easily. I plugged in a keyboard, mouse and two HDMI displays and it powered up and started the configuration setup. It was surprisingly smooth to get up and running. It is quiet, and fast. It is very compact and should support 4 displays but I am only using the two HDMI ports. The specs were exciting. For the size of the case, it had so much power to do what I needed! But, I can't keep it. The small case fan runs like a jet engine and almost never stops. I gave it a while to see if it just need to run through some updates on set-up, but it almost never became quiet enough. It is like a white noise machine on volume 8. Had for less than 2 mo the and it just died. Won't power up, no lights,just dead. And yes I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in 😀. UPDATE the customer service was fantastic!
